ptsd Important Message All Ptsd Veterans
If you have PTSD and are having problems with the VA in your rating, whether initial rating or if you think you should have a higher rating, or if you have been hindered by the personality disorder diagnosis, the group of attorneys who filed the class action suit, as reported in the news today, will review your case. For more information about this group, go to www.dralegal.org or call Kasey Corbit at 510-665-8644about this new development. Very nice person and so willing and interested in helping. A breath of fresh air.

Naval Discharge Review Board For Navy And Marine
If you want to search out a Naval Discharge, it does not indicate the name just the rank of the person's discharge, terms and reasons. Somewhat like the Veterans Board of Appeals. You will have to have the Docket Number because there are so many of them, however, if that does not matter to you. Search away. http://boards.law.af.mil/NAVY_DRB.htm

Appeal Status
My question is related to my claim that is in appeal status. I received a call from NSO (who BTW is not local and local chapter usually can't answer questions for me because they "don't know") informing me that my C-file is with the "Appeals Officer." NSO went on to suggest that this is good because "we" are right where we should be at this point. Stated "Appeals Officer" will review the file and has the authority to decide the claim, if I have a case, without the need for a hearing. I've been waiting to be assigned to the list for a travel board hearing. Did not make the list this year but was informed I should be on it for next January 08. So, my question is: ho…

Weird Question
How can a vet continue to file papers at the CAVC if they are dead? Even if they have an attorney on the CAVC case why would an attorney file papers on behalf of the veteran -if they have been dead for a year and the case is still active ---awaiting a response from the appellant? The CAVC granted an extention of time to the appellant 3 months after he died and a week ago- CAVC stayed the proceedings at the court so that the appellant could correct some papers he filed with the court-----about 8 months after he died. Nothing in the case docket indicates the CAVC knows he died. Wouldnt the lawyer know? (maybe they werent told) ;)

System Sucks
Gretting to all here at hadit: The sun has risen..Filing for a VA claim is about the same as tossing yourself in a garbage disposal..The people at the RO are nothing more than paper pushers period..All the time it takes to go from Triage team, to development team, to rating board, postdetermination team, to public contact.. Our claims might get looked a seriously by the raters for a brief moment, they either want to make quick decision or send it back to the pre-determinaton team, because we all know they have quotas! I just cant believe all that other time is merely spent pushing around your claims folder..Here it is all these vets have claims in, but its noth…

What's The Rush?
I have had a claim in since 2001. I recieved an increase of 20% in 2003. My appeal was remanded to the regonial office then taken over by AMC. I recieved a letter from the Regonial office last month to go to a C&P and it also stated that it would have to be a family emergency to reschedual because there was very limited time to complete the C&P and finish my claim. WTH is this all about? I have had my paper work in for 6 years and now they want me to rush around for them? Does this mean they will hurry up and finish my claim? I went to the C&P July 3rd. and haven't heard anything yet. ;)

A Question Of Timing For Recon & New Claim
I am submitting a reconsideration for an increase due to additional evidence that was not in my SOC for pes planus. I know what the deadline is for this but I was woundering what to do about knee pain which often times is a secondary condition of pes planus. Does it matter when I submitt this new claim for knee pain? Can I sumbitt it while I also turn in my reconsideration? Also if the knee pain is approved what would determine the effective date. In other words, I assume if the claim is approved would the date go back to the efective date of my pes planus or the new date would be the date of submitting the new claim? Thanks

tdiu Please Transcribe Ro Iris Response
This is the email (IRIS) I received on the 23rd of July: Thank you for your inquiry. VA empathizes with all the suffering you and your spouse are going through. A rating was completed today on your claims. The issue of compensation for coronary artery disease (CAD) is deferred because additional medical evidence is required before a decision can be rendered. In addition, the issue of whether or not you are entitled to Individual Unemployability is deferred because additional claims development is required before a decision can be rendered. These two deferrals are in reference to your temporary 100% and a permanent 100% payment (IU). If you have any questi…
