Blue Water Ao Vets
The VA was given until July 6th by the court to file their brief on this matter. The NVLSP brief is at their web site-filed a few weeks ago- Next to the VCAA this is the most important veteran's issue I have ever been involved with- Let's hope that Blue Water veterans with AO disabilities or their survivors-if AO caused their death- will begin to receive equitable treatment from the VA on their claims.

Edwin Crosby who has pending litigation on the SPN code matter provided listeners last night with riveting info on the whole SPN code history at the SVR broadcast- His web page is http://www.landscaper.net/discharg.htm (15th Field Artillery Regiment) and the archived showrecording will be available in a few days-(maybe there already) at: http://www.stardustent.com/svr.htm I was reading the VBM as he spoke and he was giving out the FACTS- SPN codes Chapter 18 -VBM 2006 edition- But much of the info was quite startling- Also on the 4th of July I will be guest speaker 6:30 EST--talking about the Scam that the VCAA has become- I am asking Senator Schum…

tinnitus Tinnitus, Hearing Loss & Retro Pay
Back in 1968 I filled a claim with the VA for Bi-lateral Tinnitus and hearing loss. The Tinnitus issue went mostly ignored, but after about two years I received a 0% rating for the hearing loss. I just learned about a year ago that the VA now recognizes Tinnitus so I filed a claim. Went to Reno yesterday for the hearing test and answered questions about the Tinnitus. I think that all went well. I was also told that I am qualified for hearing aids and was offered an appointment there to be fitted for them. Is there any chance of getting Retro Pay back that far as it was part of my original claim? (mos # 140.00) Field Artillery (mos# 67M20) Helico…

ptsd I Feel Caught In The Va Wheel
I have had my claim going since Dec 2002, I have had DRO hearing, NODs, appeals etc the President and the Vice President involved in my claim as well as Senator Larry Craig, MS Paris from Sec Nicholsons office, I have the VA lying on paper not once but twice about my use as a human test subject at Edgewood. I got 2 letters today one was the letter telling my I needed to submit new eveidence on my heart issue and other problems as they claim I let the issue lapse in March 2005 when they awarded me 50% for PTSD. Va Owes A Duty To Veteran’s Family
fwd from colonel dan PRESS RELEASE- IMMEDIATE RELEASE VA OWES A DUTY TO VETERAN’S FAMILY Army veteran Arvid Brown, while serving in Saudi Arabia during the Persian Gulf War in 1991, was bitten by "sand flies" and contracted the parasitic disease Leishmaniasis. Sand fly bites are the most common vector by which this infectious disease is transmitted to humans. Upon discharge from active duty, Mr. Brown of Flint was treated at Michigan VA hospitals for service related symptoms on over 50 visits. The VA never looked for Leishmaniasis as a cause of his symptoms, ignoring his service and medical history. Mr. Brown was finally diagnosed by a private physician in …

Iris Response
Just got this Iris the left hand and right sure don't know what they are doing.... Your claim is at the rating board for a decision. Depending on the caseload at the board, they may take up to 90 days or so to make their decision, but usually it does not take that long. If you have not received a decision within 90 days from today, get back in touch with us for an update in the status of your claim This was an Iris on 6/11/2007 Your claim has been reviewed by the rating board, which has determined they can make a decision on your case. Your claim is set for final review by the board as soon as possible. This may take around 2-4 weeks, depending on the caseloa…

Meds Suddenly Stopped
The VA just suddenly canceled husband's Plavix without any waring. He called to renew his meds and this one never came in. He called TAPS and they said that medicine was no longer carried by the VA because "it was the same as asprin" (which he also takes). They also said letters were sent out, which he never received. Has anyone else had this problem? thanks, sbrewer

Dro Appeal Denied
I have four appeals with the dro now for 3 years. I been calling 1-800 they say soc has been sent on 6/14/07 but my case has not been closed yet. I called them yesterday and they said it is still at the dro. I called the dav my rep 2 days ago and he returned my call this morning and said claims have been denied and should go to bva. Is it possible the dav rep just seen the soc and not any awards yet? Sorry for me I was half way asleep and didn't ask him to veify an award. I called back and ask them to call me back. Anyway my question is if my appeal has not been closed yet are they still working on a award? Thanks
