ptsd Military, Ptsd New Vets
from Colonel Dan Cedusky's email: Diagnosis dilemma http://www.armytimes.com/issues/stories/0-...PER-2796649.php Military’s influence infects PTSD cases By John A. Wickham - Posted : June 11, 2007 Veterans groups and some senators have a growing concern about whether the Army is denying the rightful disability process for soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder by summarily discharging them under the disciplinary diagnosis of “personality disorders,” a label for unruly and undependable soldiers. Ironically, a recent survey of combat troops, conducted for the Army by Mental Health Advisory Team IV, revealed that almost half those who screened positive …

Interesting 1800- Va Call Responce
Hi All, I apolize for all of my posts lately, but my case is at a critical stage with me just receiving the VA SOC form my NOD. Anyway, here is my boring background, prior to my NOD, I was rated 10% left foot hamertoes / bunions, Right Foot 10% (same issues as left foot) and 10% wrist severed liganment, )0 hernias and 0% pes planus (flat feet, etc) and faciitis bilateral. That govees me 27% rounded up to 30% per the Hadit spreadsheet and also per what the Va is compensating me for. Well on 5/31 I receive the VA SOC...basically, my flat feet go from 0% to 30%. I went on the Hadit site and did the VA math and it comes out to 48% rounded up to 50% when you calcula…

More Problems With Va Prescriptions
Once again my prescription is late Aprazolam was due on June 2, and as of today not delivered. I found out not even sent either. After more than 2 hours on phone the solution was for me to cal my Primary Care Doc and get new Prescriptions. Since November they lost my prescription and have not given me my refill on time once.I was polite today and talked to the Pharmacy and the new deal the VA Call Center. You cannot get directly to your Doc at VA anymore. I am going to ask my Doc on Medicare if he will write a prescription for me and just buy it myself.

Freedom Of Information Act
Does the VA have a form for freedom of information act request or do you just wing it. I know that some of the gov agencies (US Forest Service and BLM) that I have dealt with over the years have forms and some dont. And if they have a form and you do not use it it takes a lot longer to get the info you want.
