ptsd 100% Schedular Ptsd No Longer Awarded?
Please forgive my long-windedness but I'd really appreciate your advice, thoughts and opinions also I guess this is letting off steam for me. I'm a Vietnam infantry vet and I served as a spotter on a sniper team. I've had about 16 years of intermittent private psychotherapy and continuous VA treatment since 2001. My ptsd claim included an '05 "PTSD Evaluation" from a private psychologist that I've seen weekly for almost 9 years. (it was very detailed but I'm only outlining here) It noted that I had chronic suicidal ideation, homocidal thoughts and that I was a risk to do harm to myself or others. It diagnosed ptsd chronic, severe and major depression, recurre…

hypertension What Do You Think.....do I Have A Shot
in 2000, i left active duty and filed a va claim. in apr 2001 i join a reserve unit. in oct 01, va denies my claim for depression, allergies, tmj and hypertension because they say i was in possession of my medical records. it wasn't true because i assume that my unit had them or was trying to get them. being young ,dumb and uninformed i let it go. fast forward to jun 03, after completing 6 months of being mobilized with my unit and being diagnosed with adjustment disorder, anaphalyxis to cats(allergies on a deadly scale) and asthma. lo and behold my medical records that were missing and that i was in control of just happen to pop up at my reserve unit who send them to va…

"bonusgate" !
Jerry Berry made up the "Bonus gate" not me- full story at VA Watchdog "MANY VA EXECUTIVE BONUS WINNERS SAT ON REVIEW BOARDS THAT AWARDED THE BONUSES -- Raises questions of conflict of interest at the highest levels of VA management." http://vawatchdog.org/07/nf07/nfMAY07/nf051607-3.htm "This is a scandal in the making," said Paul C. Light, professor of public service at New York University who specializes in government reform. He said the VA bonuses pointed to possible "featherbedding" and other favoritism" The story about the medical care report is even worse than this fiasco-please read that too---

Gulf War Vets
I mentioned her email on the air and the radio show host called her and she discussed the latest email she has sent out- this is a call to arms and as Denise said -it can help many other similiar issues like SHAD and AO and it also sets the stage for Iraq vets- Here is her email: Dear Veterans, Family members, Friends, Citizens, I sit here wondering what it takes to get people motivated to do something productive to help the gulf war veterans. I am speaking of the 696,842 that served in Operation Desert Storm of which 278,713 have filed claims with the VA. I am speaking of the ones that served after Desert Storm to the present. WE have a problem that be…

Hi everyone, As many of you know my husband has a service connected left knee injury which he got in 1954. Even though he originally filed a claim in 1958 that VA lost and which is presently under appeal, he also filed another one in Connecticut in 1983 which they are trying to say that this is his original claim because they do not have 1j958 claim. He has chronic pain for his left knee injury and in January of this year he has been fitted for a knee brace because of his constant falling down. However in 1983 his VA Medical Certificate list his Blood Pressure at 150/100. In the latter part of the 90s his primary doctor listed him as having High Blood Pressure a…

Lawyers For Some States To Represent You.
Effective in June 2007, veterans are allowed to retain an attorney after the first denial by the Department of veterans Affairs (VA) at the Notice of Disagreement stage as enacted by 2006 Congressional Legislation signed into law by President Bush. This public domain and non-profit list of available private attorneys is maintained as a public service in honor of the nation's military veterans who seek representation for VA benefits. All listed attorneys are admitted to practice before the VA, the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. All are members of the National Organization of Vete…

Got Lawyer-if Needed
I just had conference call with my lawyer on some personal business matter I have- my other lawyer retired ---- Since I didnt know this new lawyer I did ask him-in my cover letter on the business matter-if he was at all interested in the new Veterans Rep bill- Well they switched me to a different lawyer- who was really great on the business matter and he said he was a disabled vet himself and would be very interested in handling my claim---after the regs go through-I told him what evidence I had-and he seemed delighted. I sure suggest that you all contact your private attorneys- this guy is a contractual lawyer but we talked more about VA regs etc than we did…
