tinnitus Just Rec'd A Call From Ro
I opened my c-file regarding C&P for depression and I just re'd a call from RO aand they are scheduling me an appointment for hearing and tinnitus. I have had 10% for bilateral tinnutis and 0% for hearing since '85 so I've met the 20 year rule so i don't understand why? I did have a hearing exam the other day totally unrelated at the VA and they said I have to wear hearing aids in both ears but my hearing isn't real bad in 500, 1000, 2000,etc frequencies. High frequentcy is up to 55-70 db loss. I don't know why they want me to be evaluated, I can't believe they are wanting to help....

Question For Vike
Vike- I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad you are back!!!!! You never steer us wrong- question: when a vet re-opens a claim (and the 21-526 has been filed long ago etc) what is it that the vet rep does to re-establish the POA- do they do this by sending a 21-4138 and that itself establishes that they still represent the veteran?

Cola
According to social security disability list I am on, the raise for COLA for 2008 is only going to be between 1.2 and 1.4%, but nothing set in stone yet, so might be more or less, and that is what our VA COLA will be to, if that is true, then will be one of lowest in many years, sure glad our cost of living isn't going up very much, according to the government.

C&p Evaluation For Appeal
Sir's And Madams: I will be evaluated this next Friday by C&P in the continuation of my appeal. This after they reduced my disability benefits(2004-2005) from 50% to 10% disabling after over 10 years of this condition been established without any improvement . The evaluating doctor will be the same doctor that reduced my benefits without even looking at my medical record, as per copy of the evaluation for skin disorders that reduced my benefits. I have lesions on my face, back, trunk, upper and lower extremities and buttocks, but he wrote that the extent of involvement was only 10%. Should I express my concern to him about this??? Some weeks after, I saw th…

Status On Haas-blue Water Navy
http://nvlsp.org/images/VAFedCirHaasBrief.pdf The VA brief was posted today at NVLSP. NVLSP will be sending their brief by May 19th and then VA has chance to rebutt---- I sure hope they resolve this issue soon and lift the stay- as wellas clarify that Haas is still the Law of the Land. This came up on Stardust Radio with Mike Harris last night- As a call- in to this new vets show- I again stated that Blue and Brown Waters should definitely file their claims. If they are on presumptive list -one thing there but for others not on the presumptive list-they should still file the claim anyhow- yet it could take a costly IMO from an environmental specialist t…

Mike Harris On Stardust Radio Today
Well,,,,what can I say but awesome, Mike Harris is really swinging hard for the Vets. The radio program was so informative. Mr. Kelly, Berta , gave some excellant information and I cannot express how I needed to hear live from them and some of their battles and knowledge. I would like to say that I agree with Mr. Harris and Berta, and Mr. Kelly that we as Vets need to really get organized more and have radio shows and media involved. Jerrel was so good and for him to have this as a show is tremendous. I did not know that it existed. Once again thanks everyone for this time. God Bless, CC
