New To Board, Can't Pull Up The Link
Hello and yes I am new to this board so try and be patient with me. I have tried to pull up the link to the subject about getting a doctor to write an opinion or nexus. I have the link in another post but when I pull it up it will not open. the link is http://www.vehu.med.va.gov/v5hu/vehu2005/p.r-%20finalA.pdf . I have been fighting peripheral neuropathy for about 7 or 8 yrs and have been tested since 02 with diagnosis in 04 and 06. It is pointing to chemical contamination and I was at Fort Greely in 71-73. I have filed the claim with DAV in Feb but I am so far down the road with it that I can't rush the system to help me. I have tried to get the va neurologist to give…

I am helping an older Korean vet with his claim. He is almost completely deaf. He has tried for years to get a second job with no luck due to his hearing. Heres the situation and please give me a guess as to what you all think will be decided. Thanks in advance. (1) He filed last July for hearing loss, tinnitus & IU. (2) He is almost 70. (3) He was on an aircraft carrier on the deck for a long time and also served in Florida at an airfield as a helicopter mechanic. (4) Earplugs were never issued back then and he says he went on sic…

Is There A Way To Read The Topics In Ascending Date Order?
Hi Is there any way an option could be put in to allow us to change the order of how we look at topics by the dates posted? When I click on a topic, it gives me posts in decending order, newest to oldest. In many cases, I do like to read the entire post again (memory problem) to refresh my self of the post. e.g. When you read your hotmail, yahoo mail, you can click the date and it will change the order, from newest ot oldest, or vice-versa. Thanks Tamara

Vdcb Survey Calling Vets
http://vawatchdog.org/07/nf07/nfMAR07/nf031207-4.htm Larry Scott recommends NOT giving these survey people ANY personal info. "Now comes word that the survey company is calling back and making statements felt to be harassing and even threatening. Vets have told me that on a second phone call from the survey company (this after saying they wouldn't take the survey) they are being told in a harsh tone that the survey is "from VA Secretary Nicholson" and that it's "important" and that their participation is "expected'." from Watchdog. What gets me is that (as Watchdog shows) the survey itself is in question- And they are only surveying 22,000 vets. Many of…

ptsd Should I Cancel Claims?
I filed my appeal in September 2006 and am now drawing the 100% rate. I also filed new claims 2 weeks after filing my appeal because I felt they are legitimate claims. My question is, since I have the 100% rate, should I cancel them. I expect word anyday on them and don`t want to ruffle any feathers. The new claims were noted in the appeal decision as being deferred until the appeal was decided. Claims are for: (1) Gerd, Hiatal Hernia & Barretts Esophagus secondary to PTSD. (Doctors statement says stress can cause these problems to get worse.) (2) Tinnitus (Saw plenty of combat to verify this) …
