Opinions Please
As you all know the VA claimed in documentation Dec 2006, that they never received my 2 IMos of Nov 2004 and also the Aug 2006 IMO. I filed FTCA for 4500.00 bucks and will be able to constructively file suit in fed court anyday now-I cannot determine how VA figures out the 6 month filing criteria- which is up today-or within he next few dyas depending on what VA defines as "six months". However-as you all know my POA claimed there had been a "lengthy" discussion with the DRO in 2005 over the IMOs of Nov 2004 with my POA rep at the VARO. (IMOs which VA never got-and which VA has never mentioned, rejected, acknowledged,or ever prepared an SOC on etc )The SOC after th…

hypertension Filling Out Form 9 For Depression Claim
The below statement is taken from my PTSD C&P I think I can use this to get my depression SC30% raised. I think it is pertinent to my case I am just brain fried and asking you guys are you seeing a relationship between ptsd and depression in the doctors statement? First I am going to post just part of her statement in italic and then I will post other stuff about my hospitilizations and then the PTSD C&P again At this time the examiner is asked to note that the veteran is already service connected for major depressive disorder, and, if post traumatic stress disorder is found, indicate which one is predominant. In the opinion of this examiner, the major depre…

Your Excellent Post
Hi Hoppy, I enjoyed reading your post, I can relate to many of the situations you wrote about. I have found that some in society need to pigeonhole people, for example: if one says they are disabled, well gosh darn, you better look it. My university thesis was about disability in the workplace ( it was hard to write at times from an objective perspective as oppossed to a subjective perspective ) but all went well. A few fellow students verbally attacked me and accused me of single-handedly closing down a favorite drive in diner that was subjected to ADA modifications! Unbelieveable! For the record, I had never been to the diner. Talk about classroom hysterics! The…

C&p
I got a copy of the C&P I took at VA on 2/20/2007 and it was favorable. Doc opined that I was severely agoraphobic and for a long time. He went into a lot of other stuff but its pretty depressing to me the main thing is I don't think there is any way VARO can deny HB and with the medical opinion and them not doing it with initial rating I don't see how they can avoid going back to 1993. I want to thank John9999 cause he basically kept after me to file for it and I put it off for many reasons.

Chairman Craig Sums It All Up
I think his point is excellent and vets do have the intelligence to make a choice. I am a member of GSW and they took a strong stand in behalf of all vets and surviving spouses to have this choice: NEWS FROM THE RANKING MEMBER OF THE U.S. SENATE COMMITTEE ON VETERANS’ AFFAIRS SEN. CRAIG RENEWS COMMITMENT TO DISABLED VETERANS Discusses veterans' right to right to hire attorneys Sen. Larry Craig speaking to the DAV February 28, 2007 Media contact: Jeff Schrade (202)224-9093 (Washington, DC) At a joint hearing held Tuesday with members of both the U.S. Senate and House Committees on Veterans’ Affairs, U.S. Senator Larry Craig praised DAV Nati…

ptsd Recovery From Ptsd
Men and women-I just hear something extraordinary on Fox news from a reporter in San Francisco- he claimed and also a shrink-too- but not identified as VA shrink -claimed that a new video game on Iraq is being utilized by therapists and can be maniulated to be specific to the exact stressors of the Iraq veteran to help the vet deal with PTSD from Iraq. The news blip said there have actually been "recoveries" from PTSD due to this video-Virtual Iraq- have any of you heard of this and who is footing the bill? then again-this appeared to be a private therapist who was supporting the video as therapy- I am astonished at this news- because I dont know if this is some…

Went For Meds Today
Went to the VAMC today to be assigned a primary doctor etc. He was a physicians assistant and treated me good. My disappointment was in the meds. The couple I needed today was a sleeping pill and Nexium. My Gerd is bigtime bad for years and Nexium is all that works. He said there are 5 Nexium generics I have to try a prescription of first before I can get Nexium. The reason I asked the VA for it was my wife`s insurance at work will no longer pay for Nexium, only a knock off. So 5 days now without Nexium and I `m hurting. He also wouldn`t give me the name of the generics, so how do you win? Cavman

tinnitus Va Medical Center
This letter is a fact, but I wonder if I should take to the patience rep. I have an appointment at 12:30 at mental health, or perhaps just keep my mouth shut. Sometimes I do things out of anger I regret later. To Whom It May Concern: I was seeing the dr's in orthro clinic for my cervical problem. My neck is in pretty bad shape and I needed them to keep an eye on it. (at their request). On my last appointment I ask if they could threat my knees also, and they said I would have to have a referral from my primary doctor since it had been over a certain time limit since they had last treated me for it. They told me not to worry they would take care of it for me, The ref…
