Could This Be True?
Hi, a few days ago I called the 1-800 # and a very helpful rep told me my claim was in the claims processing section and they people in that division are double checking whatever the decision was. My question is: do you think this rep's statement was true or is this a standard answer to inquiries? Thank you. I hope all of you are doing okay. H.G.

What The Varo Told Me About My Request!
Hi all, I had 2 C&P exam on 2 Feb 07. Today, I went in to my local VARO and sumbitted a request to get copies of the PA's notes, etc. The clerk at the desk (who has a reputation of not being user frienndly) informed me that If I do this it will delay my claim by 90 days!! He said that is because they have to find my file, pull it and deal with the Freedom of Information Act. This sounded like a bunch of BS to me, and I decided to sumbitt my request. Has the VARO ever told any of you this? Thanks. Joe

diabetes Benefit Of Doubt Regs-
A local PTSD vet recently contacted me -very angry at his RO decision-which did not raise to the level for VA to consider and award under Benefit of Doubt regs- I think this reg is often misunderstood- The evidence has to rest within Relative Equipoise- meaning equal evidence for and against the claim. Fox Ex: my AO death claim VA examiner used 3-4 med recs and opined against the claim and never considered any other evidence-(although she also actually offered support for the claim too) IMOs (3 so far) state with full medical rationale that the veteran, my husband, had diabetes mellitus (undiagnosed or treated by VA) that contributed to/caused his death. …

Bva Phone Survey?
Hey guys I got a phone call from the BVA tonight. The woman was talking so fast that I couldn't decipher what it stood for and could hardly make out what she was saying, but what I did get was that they were conducting a phone survey about my service connected disability. I scheduled them to call back tomorrow so I could get youre help first. Before I blow this off as no big deal I want to find out if this is normal and what kind of implications it will have on my benefits. What is the BVA? are they attached to the VA? Thanks Guys

ptsd Ao Appeal
Even though I have won my PTSD appeal and am 70/IU P&T I still feel angry about my AO denial. I actually would like to appeal it to the BVA, not for an more disability rating, but on the principal of it. If I did, could it affest my present rating? The doctor at the AO registry exam thanked me for coming in and said if others with my type of cancer would come in it would be added to the presumed list. Cavman

Please Look At My Prior Post
I don't understand why does VA even cosider the reason for the Social sercity office disission. I mean if my husaband get 60% s/c disabilties and PT unemployabilty and now we called to find the results of the 1151 and they stated the only reason that its being held up is because of the documents from Social security which to let you know was denied and is in a ppeal also. why does socail sercity not use the VA evaluaton but yet the VA is interested in why they denied his Socail security it states that VA and SS is two diffrent definitions of disabilities. Is there anything I can do and also please help me understand why this is fair. Social sercurity doesn't care if …

tdiu Should I Request New C&p For Reconsideration?
I recently sent in a request for reconsideration on my back rating and filed for TDIU at the same time. Since my first C&P, my back got much worse and Ive had back surgery. So, I sent in the new evidence requesting the reconsideration instead of filing a NOD and filed for TDIU at the same time. My question, I did not request in the letter a new c&p exam for my back. I know back rating are almost purely based off of ROM. Since my first c&p, my ROM has changed dramatically. Should I send in a letter requesting a new c&p or do they automatically schedule you for new c&p's when you send in a reconsideration? I need to get my new ROM for my back…

C&p Today
My C&P was scheduled for 8 AM bust so were all the exams and I started getting angry but I was called in at 8:35 so no complaints there. I was greeted by a friendly Doc who shook my hand and escorted Mrs Pete and me to his exam room. I got a routine exam was treated professionally and even offered advice that I should ask my Doc to see about a neurology appointment as he did not like the way I walked for some reason. He asked me how much I got out. Did I drive? What meds I take for Depression and Panic he revied that he thought that 4 mg per day xanax was appropriate treatment for my panic. He was a pleasure after the C&P's I had when I first filed for my be…

Is There A Chance I Might Regret This?
My husband was in the service and was smashed in between to missle launchers and he broke his back but the records of his x rays in Germany were never found but they did issue him in 2004 deformity of a L2, torn urether, loss of the use of his penis, and IBS due to adhesions it all totaled up to 60% and the rest was for unemployablity. My question is he filed a claim the day he was discharged from the service March 1979 and he didn't get anything until 2004. Now we file a NOD, 1151, and a CUE because his back was broke but they keep stating it was a deformity but yet now that VA Doctor did admit it was more likely than now his back was fractured in the accident while se…
