tdiu Help Soft Tissue Cancer
Not sure if I know how to post on here!!! HELP!!! Looking to help another Veteran in need. Retired Army, Korea DMZ 68-69; just had prostrate removed (cancerous); and had his BLADDER removed--TCC CANCER; Anybody know if this is a soft tissue cancer that might be linked to A/O. If they removed his prostrate, what % of rating? Wonder if I can link one to the other. Anybody know about Korean vets and connecting their disabilities to A/O? Thanks, Brenda [ quote name='Nathan104' date='Feb 10 2007, 04:13 PM' post='41160'] Berta- thanks for the reply. Im sure the TDIU claim is still in the mail room as you stated as I just s…

Diagnosed
I got the results of my sleep lab. I had a total of 135 stoppages of breathing (an average of 21/hour). The nurse who called me referred to it as significant sleep apnea. I am going back on Tuesday for my second sleep study and to dertermine the setting on the CPAP I will use. I started the paperwork for a claim today. The pulmonary physician has already stated a willing ness to date the start of the sleep apnea to 2001, which was while I was on active duty.

ptsd Rating Reduction After Reconsideration Hearing
Hi, This is my first post to this forum and any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Sorry this is so long, but I felt I needed to explain, to the best of my ability, of what happended. A little background: My husband was rated at 70% PTSD and 10% knee injury for a total of 70%. When he originally applied for compensation benefits he included both military and post military trauma (which was in his C-file) prior to his first C&P exam in May of 2005. At the C&P examination in May of 2005 the examiner stated that she reviewed his C-file and after the exam her opinion was sent to the rater. He was then given a rating of 70%. Ok, this is whe…

Agent Orange Registry Exam
I am scheduled for my first visit to the VAMC since being rated in a couple weeks. I`m thinking I should maybe steer clear of there until my appeal is decided. I don`t know what they ask. I mainly wanted to get some glasses, but that isn`t even scheduled yet. Thoughts? Cavman

ptsd I'm Back!
After a long break I am back on hadit. Last time I posted, I was 70% PTSD, 10% tinnitus, 0% hearing loss. I am looking to push to 100% PTSD. Still working, but it is taking a toll on me. I just had to take a break from the VA stuff for a while. After the move to the new board format, I had run out of gas. Will have to look around for Berta, Pete, Flip, Mike, etc. to re-connect.

Hearing Coming Up
I got a letter the other day and was told that I have a hering in about 3 weeks. I do not know what is on my docket at all. I have so many things filed, I do not even know whatthings that the hearing is about. I have went through this before. It sux how they do not tell you in the letter that the hearing is about. When I call the idiots in Atlanta they tell me that they do not know. The person acted like it was a problem to just answer the phone. I finally found out what was on there but I can't count on her to be correct since she was trying to get me off of the phone every time she got finished with a sentence. I was writing this as I was on the phone. I am t…

ptsd Can`t Take It Much Longer
I got excited an hour ago when I took a brown envelope out of the mailbox. When I opened it, it was a statement of case with a form 9 for an NOD. It listed one of my shrinks name as evidence along with many other things. It stated I had been denied my appeal for SCC Cancer Stage IV b. I never filed an appeal regarding my Cancer denial from last year. I filed for a PTSD increase as you know. I immediately called the 800 number and was told I would have to write a letter and start all over again. If I didn`t have my 13 year old little girl I would say the hell with the world. Cavman

hypertension Up Coming Dro Hearing
As I prepare for my upcoming hearing which should be in Apr 05 according to IRIS I would just like for someone to give me a quick sanity check on the reason for my argument of EED on a Back Issue: 2002: File claim for back strain. Feb 2003 SOC issued: Disability SC'ed at 0 % effective 2002. Feb 2004 - Being the dumb butt that I am I failed to timely file VA 9 (mixed up the one year requirement for a NOD with the 60 day requirement to perfect appeal). So I filed the VA For 9 at this time. July 2004 - VA sent me a letter saying hey dummy, sorry but the VA 9 was not filed in a timely manner. However, being the good guys that we are, we will use your VA form…

Champva/dic
I am not old enough to receive medicare, do not qualify for medi-cal because my DIC and my age and the fact that all my children are grown disqualifies me. I need dental care and I need glasses but cannot afford them and DIC is not enough money to even qualify me for credit. My husband is deceased by the way. A Vietnam Veteran whose death was connected to his service in Vietnam. He died in 1991. My only source of income is DIC. I won't go into my life story because it isn't necessary. The fact is there is a large group of us out here living like this. CHAMPVA may be great if you have another source of income or receive social security or have a pension from yo…
