hypertension Finally Some Good News
A couple of weeks ago I posted that the VARO was requesting opinions from the VAMC and I was all worried about it. This was done as a C&P Physical with out the vet present, the DRO asked for four opinions and the doctor answered with the following: 1. The C&P report states it is at least likley as not that the erictile dysfunction is at least likley as not due to or being aggravated by medications taken for control of his service connected mental disorder and service connected hypertension. 2. The C&P report states the overall evidence tends to show that the veteran may have had symptoms of decreased kidney function from 5/04 (retirement date) until d…

I Just Got Home From Vamc And I Am Poed.....
First of all, let me start out by saying that I have no idea whether this is posted in the correct topic, so, if necessary, move it or remove it. I get a letter a couple weeks ago, an appointment at the VAMC in Dallas. It just says it's for a C&P. Well, I figure that it's for my latest claim that I turned in a couple months ago about my knee and hip, but, I'm not really sure so I called up the VAMC and asked them. The dude says, "yup, it's for your knee". So, I figure, hey, they got their mojo working and got something right..............kewl! So, I show up today for my "knee C&P", right? WRONG! First, just let me say that this Ahole was a reall Ahole. H…

Advice Please
I recently called DVA San Juan to inquire about the status of my claims and appeals. The person who answered the phone said that My claims file was at the DRO desk. I have some information which I think will help the outcome of my claims, for example a copy of a BVA favorable desicion similar to my case, copies of SOAR magazine stating that what they did on my claims will be vacated at BVA level, a medical article explaining the progresion of my disorder....ect ect. My question is, If i send this paperwork now, will it affect my claim status at the DRO? Will I fall to the bottom of the pile once again??? Any comments or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Sixthscents: Question For You
Hello Sixthscents: In October 16th 2006 your reply to my question concerning my back and lower extremities was this: In essence this EMG is very good proof that there is in fact nerve damage which causes among other things, foot drop, loss of dorsiflexion/plantar flexion/ loss or reduction in deep tendon reflex's etc. It is a very good EMG in that I personally would push for loss of use of the foot, or feet.... It totally objective evidence which supports any claims of shooting pain, muscle weakness in your feet ad legs, and foot drop etc. Go for loss of use/bilateral - also ask for an AFO (Ankle Foot Orthotic), and then claim that you would be equally well serve by…

ptsd Need Advice On Ro, Boo-boo
I was reviewing my file on my rt. knee, and discovered the ro did not send me a statement of case when I filed My nod. Is this important; I have noticed that Berta always asks the claimant if they recieved a soc. As a matter of fact I think she ased me that question and I just assumed I did. I did get one on my ptsd appeal in 2005. Here is the sequence of all correspondence with the RO on my knee. 1. 05/9/05 filed claim 2. 10/30/05 what we still need from you letter from ro. 3. 7/6/06 appointment for c& p 4. 7/11/06c&p exam. 5. 8/14/06 Rt knee condition is denied. 6. 9/5/06 filed nod. I called in several weeks and the RO denied …

Negligence By The Appeals Management Center
I faxed copies of the personnel records to the AMC, May12, 2006 and July 13, 2006 and someone did not post or lost these records. I have the proof that they received both fax. December 20, 2006 the NARA notified the AMC these records could not be located. I found out by one of the Telephone operators January 23, 2007. I faxed the administrative records again to the AMC January 23, 2007. The Remand 7. After the above development has been completed, the veteran's claims file should returned to the board of VA psychiatrists who participated in the April 2005 examination for clarification of the provided opinion. They should be requested to review the reco…

Claims Adjustor At The Appeals Management Center?
Hi Everyone, If you have been following my claim, I am at the Appeals Management Center in Washington, D. C. remanded by the BVA. I was told a couple of weeks ago that my "suspense date" was the 8th of February. I spoke with the counselor today and was told that my claim was with the " Claims Adjustor" cutting the "Pi" ? I think that he meant the Geometry "P1" and not the kind that you eat "Pie" Anyone know what they are talking about? Thanks, Josephine

Ao Appeal Or Not?
This is a doctor`s statement sent with my AO claim which was denied. It was denied because it isn`t on the presumed list, was the reason given. Should I appeal this one day or forget about it? Letter: This letter is to indicate that ...... has been a patient under my care in the Dept. of Otolaryngology for a malignant tumor of his right oropharynx. On the basis of biopsy of his tonsil and multiple right metastatic lymph nodes he was found to have Stage IV throat cancer. He will undergo radical treatment for his malignancy. Because of his Agent Orange exposure and its association with malignancies of the oral pharyngeal area this medical condition should be service con…
