Va Regulations On Agent Orange Disabilites ?
I'm appealing a ruleing from my VA regional Office on Peripheral Neuropathy. I was denied because the VA rule says the disease must manifest within one year of exposure to Agent Orange but I've sent that board studies by the National Institutes of Health and the Mayo Clinic that say that disease can lay dormant for many years before it becomes noticable. When I argue my claim in front of the appeals court I want to be able to show that the VA rule on Peripheral Neuropathy may have been good mediccal science when the rule was established but later studies show that their rule needs to be updated to accept the latest medical knowledge about the disease. I would like to kn…

tdiu Independent Living Program Questions
I am a disabled veteren rated 60% with TDIU. I was previously rated at 40% and spent 2 years in Voc. Rehab. and recieved my Associates, but was unable to finish my Bachelors. I received a computer from the V.A. when I was on Voc. Rehab. I was wondering if I would still be eligable for any other programs similar to VR. I think I have heared of it refered to as Independent Living or something like that. It seems I remember Vets basically getting set up in a hobby. Like if the Vet liked woodworking, then the V.A. would get them the tools, materials, etc. to do it. Does anyone know anything about programs like this, or if you have experience with this type of program, c…

tdiu Reopened Claim --new And Material Evidence
http://www.warms.vba.va.gov/admin21/m21_1/...2/ch02_sece.doc A reopened claim is any claim for service connection, received after a finally denied claim, which VA must reconsider because the evidence it presents is new and material. A finally denied claim means that at least one year has elapsed since the letter was sent notifying the claimant of the decision to deny the benefit sought. Note: The term “reopened” does not apply to pension, increased ratings, or individual unemployability. Those claims involve the review of new evidence based on new applications, rather than reconsideration of prior decisions. For this reason, they are “new” claims. Referenc…
