The Post-traumatic Syndrome Of Blunt Head Injury: Noninvasive Neurochemical And Structural Assessment
The Post-Traumatic Syndrome of Blunt Head Injury: Noninvasive Neurochemical and Structural Assessment Blunt trauma of the human brain, occurring in the course of military operations of a wide variety, presents serious problems in assessment, treatment, and outcome prediction. Mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) is frequently followed by a clinical syndrome which is associated with serious disability, despite the absence of significant abnormalities on conventional radiologic imaging. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy has revealed changes in cerebral metabolite ratios in several sites, suggesting diffuse tissue damage. In a previous study using volumetric proton magnetic sp…

Adjunicated
Went to the D.A.V and got a printout of the status of my claim, The nso told methat it was being adjunicated and it means that its at the raters desk and i said i bet its not, its probably sitting in a pile of some where being lost. When i call the 800 number they can't bring it up in the system (file is locked and its a sensitive). Its in L.A, i had put in for an increase and a secondary condition back in sept, and open some new claims and added my imo like 2 wks ago. If they rate my claim and deny it, i know the va is screwed up. Because i didn't have a c&p exam and i know they wouldn't have my imo as yet. For some reason things take long to go to LA. …

Something Worked For Me
My recent service complaint, directed to Deputy Sec Mansfield(I am sure he never saw it-of course) has caused the VARO to put a claims examiner on my claim file as of 12-19-06. (Unless Regional counsel caused this- he got more evidence from me on 12-17th.) It had been sitting with a rater for 2 months- without the evidence-and they are apparently now looking for my IMOs. (or maybe the claims examiner is the PAP -paper airplane person-who knows) Even if I get another quackola VA doc I can get another IMO from a specialist - but it is very frustrating to get costly IMOs unacknowledged-and "not received" and I suggest that anyone who goes through this should file…

Email I Just Received - Another Rvn Vet Dies
I am just heartbroken over this. Please send out a salute to another veteran gone. carlie Hi _____! Thank you for your phone call. It has been an emotional roller coaster the past few days. We are still waiting for the autopsy report on _____. That could take a while. We had a memorial service for _____ last night. At least he is at peace now - that's the only good thing I can say about his death. I believe he would have gotten better - at least he was trying to. I don't know how much information you were given on his death. He had been throwing up on and on for at least 2 weeks. He was drinking lots of water (so thirsty) but wasn't keeping anyt…

Just Received My Brother's Smr
Hello again : Late last month i wrote that the VA was going to reduce my brother's amount of the Pension he recieves from the military for not reporting a little job that he was given by the Mental Health Department. I sent for his SMR to see if there was any condition he was seen for while in the Army that he might be service connected for due to his " Nerves" and his Mental Condition today. In looking at the SMR there is nothing in them about being seen at any time for his nerves, There is something that i think he might/could be service connected for but i will need to see all his medical records since his discharge. He was seen in { sick call } for complains of…

Status Of Claim Online
Wouldn't it be nice if you could view the stages of your claim online, if the va wants to be efficient and save money, they would invest in that type of technology. It would be easier if you can go online via a user name and password and view where your claim is and the status. It would also be nice if they could put a few explanations. It would save alot of time with people calling, and with that they could use that money to hire more claim raters. They only problem they would face is updating the online stuff when they work on it, and i think that will be another problem to deal with. I think this was brought up, maybe if we all talk to our vso's about bringing …
