ptsd Gao Report On
from : http://vawatchdog.org/nfDEC06/nf122006-1.htm And also email from Col. Dan: "Why GAO Did This Study The Ranking Democratic Member, House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, asked GAO to determine (1) whether VA’s internal assessments indicate its regional offices are complying with the requirements of the Veterans Claims Assistance Act (VCAA) of 2000 for obtaining military service records for veterans’ disability compensation claims and (2) whether VBA could improve its procedures for obtaining military service records for claims involving post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)."

ptsd Medical Marijana For Ptsd
I know some people feel that marijana is bad and has no medicall use. I have a appt with my va shrink on the 28th and I am thinking of telling him that I would like to try pot for my ptsd syptoms the anger being the biggest problem. The side effects of the meds that the va is giving me is killing me. Over the past 3 years my meds have been changed 4-5 times without help. I live in california and I have obtained my permit to use pot through a indepented doctor. But I also know that the federall goverment does not reconize the cal law. I have a friend that is a nam vet who is 100% p&t for ptsd and ao and he uses pot instead of the va drugs and says the same thing that t…

Carlie-when Did You File Your Sec 1151 Claim
This is from attorney Richard Cohen at Ray Davis site (http://www.veteransresources.net/) " ALERT FOR VETERANS WHO HAVE BEEN INJURED AT A VA MEDICAL CENTER If you were injured while waiting for treatment at a VA Hospital before October 1, 1997, and if you file a claim, before October 1, 1997, under 38 USC 1151, for VA benefits to compensate you for your injury you should read what follows very carefully. Most claims by veterans who were hurt, while waiting for treatment and who filed a claim before October 1, 1997, had their claim denied by the VA because the VA determined that the injury was unrelated to the treatment. For some veterans the law has now change…

Lawyers & Ro.
Dear Fellow Veterans & Friends It will be interesting to see lawyers who are use to going into a court of law to enforce laws that are being violated. To have those same lawyers see the corrupton they have to navigate through in the RO system and not beabel to get anyone to do anythig about it. Maybe the right to hire lawyers at the VA level wont be such a threat because no lawyer would want to pratice in such a one sided system. I also presume lawyers will have complet cases when they go forward and will try for the ajudicators to spell things out as clear as possibel. I wonder if the VA will take perfectly preparied cases that should be SC from the start a…

tdiu Quick Question On Dr Letter In Support Of Tdiu
"if your PCP is willing to write that your SC disabilities prevent you from being employed- that is all you need to get them to consider you for TDIU." I read this while searching info on TDIU from old posts. I have a question about this. So far, I have not been seen by VA Dr's at all. The civilian Dr I had been seeing is willing to write a letter stating the above. What Im wondering is if there is a certain way this needs to be said or anything that needs to be included in the letter. Any examples out there? Thanks. Also, Is there any benefit in claiming scars? I had two cliamed on my original claim and got 0% sc for them. I have a 4 inch scar on my lower ba…

tdiu Need Guidance For Correct Action
In the month of October 06 I received a letter from the VA stating that I was NOW 100%P&T ( Unemployability ), I had been and continue to be paid ( as of Dec.,06 ) at the 100% level due to IU ( had not been awarded P&T status until the above OCT date ).
