Squeeze Is On
I sure got tough with my POA. Just got email and the vet rep seems horrified at the steps I took last week----- I will do whatever it takes- If anyone out there has a doubt as to their representation- make sure you double check what they do or say they did---- They are supposed to send you copies ,upon your request, of any 21-4138 etc that they have sent to the VARO in support of your claim. And if the VARO claims they have not- take action with them. Those 21-4138s from a vet rep show the VA that you have your back covered- then again- I think these VAROs know quite well what vet reps they know who are good and which ones are lousy. Written Up Appeal For Fee Basis Denial
Dear Fellow Veterans & Friends For 2 years I was using fee basis because of RO abuse. Without investitgating the abuse or contacting me the VA all the sudden stops fee basis. In my appeal I show a history of medical retaliaton starting with VA Dr Russel in 1983 saying I should be hospitlized because I was asking legal questons about the Vets Home. 5 years latter the Minnesota Supreme court ruled in my favor regarding those questons and I latter was awarded $200K because of the abuse. Currently the RO was taking my Dr's notes regarding my comments about the corrupton in the RO. The RO would quote from the Dr notes and then make the sillyest illegal ruli…

hypertension Rating Finally Received, Few ?s On New Claim, Appeal
It took 1 year exactly but I finally got the big envelope. I should have received it 2 months ago but a clerical error was found that had to be fixed. Heres the official results. Degenerative Arthritis
Is there a rating for degenerative arthritis, thanks. Rignt now i am S.C for low back strain. But my got diagnosed with degenerative arthritis and sciatica due smr's and to the military. My question? terry i have read your posts for last 3 years. never joined hadit till now.i agree with that the va acts in bad faith and deinals of 94%OF THE TIME. Recent Cavc Decision
I posted this info before but it bears repeating- If a claim goes to the CAVC- no additional evidence can be presented. Hire A Lawyer And Va Will Pay Sooner
Dear Fellow veterans & Friends With this new law allowing in June lawyers at the VA level. You should hire a lawyer asap. There is one thing the VA hates to pay even more so than veterans and that is the veterans atty. I belive the VA will try to starve the lawyers who come on to help the vets. The VA knows if a claim is going to win or not. If they deny the claim that means 2 or 3 years of appeals and hearings. The lawyers will be very happy with the VA foot draging because they get 20 to 30%. over a 5 year period of denials that would equal $25.000. Wherein if the claim is granted after 3 months at the RO level, The lawyer will $1.600.00. The …

When Is Too Many Meds Too Much?
When is taking too many meds too much. I just looked in the Meicine Cabinet and I have several. I take Metropolol, Nifedipine, lisonipril, clonodine and Imdur for Htn and Heart. Gemfibrozil and Simivastatin for Chloesterol Indomethacin and Neurontin for Spine with Hydrocodone 10 as back up for severe problems Fiorcet and Darvocett for Migraines No wonder my stomach is a mess. Can a person file secondary conditins to medicine taken?

Update On Spokane Vet Deaths

"The letter advises veterans that their care at a non-VA emergency center might be paid for by the VA. Last year, the Spokane hospital spent nearly $8 million on care for veterans at non-VA facilities, according to a federal audit released in February."

How To Post
Post a clear title like
‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery” instead of ‘I have a question."
This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”
