Re-evaluation Set For December 1st.. I Need Help Please
I was in the military from 1991 to 2004. I received a medical discharge while I was in the military and the military awarded me 10%. However, 3 months later the VA rewarded me 100% disabled and unemployable. How one can award me 10 % and the other 100% is beyond me, but that is a whole other topic… I have been 100 % for the past 2 years. The diagnosis is Major Depressive Disorder, Panic Disorder, and mild Agoraphobia. They called me back to the VA on December 1st 2006 for a re-evaluation. I guess I am concerned that they will try to take away my benefits or reduce my 100 percent rating. Even a 10 percent reduction is a significant amount of money every month fr…

Retro Pay
Hi, I was told by the Service Rep at the 1-800# that I will get my retro pay for such and such and "it will post Novemebr 27th" What does "post" mean because he told me I'll get it in the mail not direct deposit. Then I was told by somoeone else that it could take a month to get. The date of my letter was Nov. 14th. Does anyone have experience in this? Thanks. And yes, I am inpatient lol, I waited over a year.

Multiple Noncompensable Service-connected Disabilities.
Food for thought..... Multiple noncompensable service-connected disabilities. Whenever a veteran is suffering from two or more separate permanent service-connected disabilities of such character as clearly to interfere with normal employability, even though none of the disabilities may be of compensable degree under the 1945 Schedule for Rating Disabilities the rating agency is authorized to apply a 10-percent rating, but not in combination with any other rating. :D I wonder how/who decides this...what about the veteran who is rated 0 for hearing, and 0 for arthritis... he doesn't get a 10% rating hearing and arthritis can and do interfer with normal em…

Cannot Remember
Some one posted this "A veteran may be rated at zero percent, meaning there is evidence of the service-connected condition, but it does not impair the veteran. An example is a minor scar. This zero percent rating, though not compensable, can be beneficial, since it may raise the veteran’s priority in other VA programs such as health care eligibility. In addition, it may be reviewed for a higher rating if the condition worsens" Is this in the rules somewhere or just an opinion? bill
