ptsd Previous Cases
Does anyone know of previous cases granting disability for gerd, barrets esophagus, hiatal hernia or insomnia as secondary disabilities to PTSD? Also, does anyone know of a case where a combat vet won a tinnitus case? I have read and read and can`t find cases to send with my claims. Cavman

ptsd "exacerbated"
http://www.va.gov/vetapp00/files2/0010802.txt When a SC condition "exacerbates" a NSC condition-direct service connection can be warranted for the additional condition- This above claim might helps others- "The evidence shows that the service-connected right knee disability did not directly cause the left knee disability. However, the evidence contains conflicting medical opinions regarding whether the service-connected right knee disability has exacerbated the left knee disability" This could be the case where a left arm SC disability causes a right arm disability- overdependence on one muscle joint system due to SC of other system is always possibl…

diabetes Pension For Anxiety With Depression Granted? Opinions Please?
Why did the Va give me a pension, for chronic anxiety and depression, to which was denied, due to excessive income? I secured the psychiatric records from the archives and the letter from the commanding officer as to why I was given an early discharge, in 2004, new and material evidence to re-open my claim. Why did the Va sent me for a C&P for an " Acquired Psychiatric Disorder" and not the Chronic Anxiety and Depression, to which I was granted a pension for? Any one know the answer. Lost that is me Lost, Josephine

Ww11 Military Records
Hi Ya'll, My husband and I were going through some very old paperwork his mother had in a storage. We found the original "parchment" certificate of commision for his father by the Royal Canadian Airforce". I understand he volunteered for service to fight prior to the USA getting involved in WW11. When the US got involved he was discharged and commisioned in the Army Air Corps or the AIr Force, were not sure which. We believe my husbands mother was drawing DIC because his fathers death was SCed. Does anyone know if we can request service records from CANADA? Also if we are not sure of which branch of service, can someone advise us what we need to do to get his f…

Cardiac And Cerebral Arteriosclerosis
Berta or anyone else with experience with this condition, I have been trying to research the connection with Cardiac Arteriosclerosis and Cerebral atrophy. It seems that these are connected, as one is called a heart attack and one is called a stroke. But in essence they idiology is the same. Both are silent killers and both seem to be connected to arteriosclerosis. I know that in the past you stated that your late Husband, Rod, sufered from multiple mini strokes. my questions to you, if you don't mind are as follows: 1. Could you give me an idea of the symptoms (physical and mental) changes that you observed in Rod prior to his death. I have not been able to fi…

ptsd 100% Schedular Vs. 100% Tdiu
Does anyone here see any advantage to a 100% schedular-rated veteran pursuing TDIU at the point he can no longer work? PTSD is not a factor here, although organic mental syndrome is (already rated at 60%). Lumbar back currently rated at 40%, cervical spine problems currently rated at 20%, but we have an appeal in and an IMO that stated the condition warrants an increase to 40%. Other conditions too, and I see the day coming when this information will be important for us to have on hand. Is there any advantage when it comes time to file for SSD, or any other reason that might make it a good idea to do this when the time comes? Thank you, I value your opinions.

Bva Hearing Request & New Claim
We've decided to opt for BVA local hearing on the original claim (filed March 05, NOD on Jan 06). The SOC - just came yesterday for this claim. It did not address the new claim. So - we still have a claim in round 1 - still waiting for their 1st decision on it - (filed this one Feb 06) When should we send the request for BVA on the 1st claim? - I know we have 60 days, but the sooner we send it, the sooner we're on a waiting list....... Should we wait until the newer claim is decided before sending the BVA request, or go ahead & send it? What effect will it have on the newer claim's processing time?
