Dealing With Doctors Reports
The recent posts between Berta, I and hollywoodnc concerning doctors reports has motivated me to put up some pro’s and con’s I ran into. And when I say pro’s and con’s what I mean is that there are some doctors who are real pro’s at being a con’s. The best part is the second to last paragraph. When my claim started through the system in the mid 90’s there was no requirement that a VA doctor had to write reports or make notes in the medical file as to their opinion about service connection issues. In 2000 there was a new directive requiring primary care doctors to make an assessment of whether or not they thought medical diagnosis noted in the SMR were related to curr…

Burns (scars)
Sorry to bother ya'll but have a question a friend asked to to ask ya'll. She was involved in a huge car wreck in Europe. Her seat belt saved her life, but it also trapped her in and she suffured large scars all accross her shoulders and back. The scars are pretty graphic (noticable) and she cannot waer any "nice" clothes that will show her shoulders/back. Lastly, she will not to this day wear a seatbelt as she "freaks" out. She relives the accident whenever someone comes at her fast from the back, as that is what happened. Can someone give me some idea of what she "might" be entitled to for either the reoccuring stressors, and the large scars. His doesn't want to …

hypertension Filing For Tdiu While Claim Is Still Pending?
Hello all. I am thinking of putting in for TDIU. Ive had to drop out of school and can not work. I was put out of the army in November 05 for disability. I currently have a claim in for numerous things including Lower back pain with sciatica, Right knee(operated on in service), Hypertension, and several others. Had my C&P's back in January, claim is still pending. Since my C&P's, my back condition has gotten much worse. I had an MRI which showed two herniated discs with one being VERY large. I am scheduled for a Lumbar diskectomy on the 21st of this month through my civilian Dr as I still have Tricare insurance until next month. I have sent two handwrit…

0 Plus 0 Equals 10%
Afternoon all, I am still working on the math, but find most of it fairly understandable, but. If you get a rating of 0 for a scar, and a rating of 0 for a hurt wrist, I believe that can equal 10 persent. If that is correct, what if you are rated for 0 for 4 things. The reason I ask is that I will let the Docs figure out what each of my service connected ailments are worth, but if they just claim 0 on say... four of them, do i get o% 10% or more. Thanks all

diabetes Varo
What if anything are you suppose to do, if the ro, MAKES up a bogus claim for a Veteran, in my case, I filed a EED, for my service-connected Diabetes, then I also filed a 1151 claim concerning my case against IL & VR, THEN IN THE MAil today, I received a packet asking for anymore evidence, but the RO also put in, that I asked for a increase for diabetes, which I didn't, as they are asking for proof, of this, and as far as I know the diabetes hasn't got any worst, as I am still on a pill a day for it.

Bva Hearing?
I just received a letter from the VA, they decided to send my claim for an earlier effective date to the BVA for CUE review back to 1977. Should I request a personnel hearing or just let the wheels turn? Dave

Alex And P&t
Alex Do you still advocate taking the money and running if you are P&T. I have a couple of SMC type claims I am thinking about but they don't amount to that much money, but I hate to see the VA get away with something where I could possibly get paid.
