ptsd Compensation & Pension Exam
I had a c&p exam on feb.26 for ptsd and I thought it went good. It was my understanding that the results would be sent on down the line for a ruling but I got a letter yesterday from the VA for another c&p exam on april 29. Is this normal or what....Has anyone had more than one exam for ptsd before a ruling was made on their results ? Anybody can chime in and tell me if they have. I'm new to all this VA stuff. ...thanks

I Cannot Get A C&p Exam
I have schizophrenia, that developed while in the service, it caused me to go awol because of the delusions and hallunications i was having(i thought people were coming after me). I had one VA doc say she would write in the report of my progress notes that i shouldn't be held accountable because i was not sane at the time, but i never got it in there, and after many phone calls i cannot get in touch with her, She is in the locked psych floor so the only way i figure i can go up there is if i get myself locked up again, which i guess im willing to do, just for a day or two to get this letter, but there has to be another way....anyways i've had a claim in for 4 months for …

hypertension I Am Rated
With my C&P exam happening on 14 Jan, I finally got rated as of March 8. I had 7 items down for rating but only got rated for 4 (Sleep Apnea, DMII, Degenerative Disc Disease, Hypertension) with total of 70%. Also I got SMC for Erectile Dysfunction. They did not give me a percentage on ED, just the SMC. I am pretty happy with the rating and want complain. There are things I wished I did different. This forum was a big help, so thanks to all. I start my Federal job next week and things seems to be coming together for me (knock on wood). Thanks again, for everyone that ever offered advice and also for everyone postings that also helped me through this rating proc…

Need Help With Letter For Bronchiectasis For Claim
I was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis, Asthma, Allergic Rhinitis and a couple other things in the USMC. Was medically discharged from USMC early. I currently have 30% for asthma and 0% service connected for bronchiectasis. Here is the problem, I am wanting to pursue claims for Bronchiectasis. I have prescribed prednisone 4-5 times in the last year. From what I was reading, that is considered "systemic steroids" which could help my claim showing that I keep getting chest infections and that I am not lying about my severity. I constantly have to cough to remove phlegm from my lungs on a daily basis (not kidding). They keep denying me any percentage other than 0%. I just don't…

Cp Re-evaluation
I was wondering if anyone knows what a re-evaluation is based on?? I have lumbar back issues and on a recent award letter for a depression claim, it stated that I would be having a future evaluation on the lumbar issues to see what the severity of the injury is. The condition is the same, its not improved, therapy doesn't help at all, I went for 2 sessions and couldn't tolerated the pain. Any ideas or opinions?

I was also notified and in less than 2 weeks my claim has been submitted, for being homeless. I received a letter dated March 2nd, 2010 that Im awaiting Compensioin and they were sorry it was taking so long. My questions is If they have it now for compension, what are the next steps for the VA claim. Last does my SSI claim help if I get them papers that I've been awarded SSI. I can't work and they gave me SSI will my SSI claim help assist my claim to win my case for the VA, or not help and make it more confusing for the VA to award me.…

Partial Knee Replacement
I was medically separated in Oct. of 2006 after 13 years of service due to left and right knee problems. I was discharged with severance pay and a 20% disability rating. The rating was for: chronic right knee pain and instability status & post posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and graft. My left knee was considered unfitting but non-compensable or ratable. I submitted my claim to the VA in Oct. of 2006. After going back and fourth with them for over a year(they lost my original medical records) they rated me at 10% in 2008 for my right knee only. As of today, I'm currently rated at 40% but only 10% for my right knee and 0% for my left knee. I've been figh…
