Requesting Copy Of C&p Exam
Question: My exam results were forwarded back to the AMC after completed. When I called to inquire about a copy I was told that if they had to pull the file to get a copy of the exam, it would delay my claim. Is this true? I thought I could get one after a couple weeks from the outpatient clinic where the exam took place, but was told it was no longer there. Any ideas??? Blackbird

Bipolar C&p Exam
I am afraid I messed up my C&P exam with a PDOC. I was only able to answer a few questions. The PDOC asked me what I was prescribes for my mania. I could not believe it- I was actually manic. I only remember the examiner saying "I'll have to get the rest out of your records. Was at 80% overall. Now I feel my bipolar, panic and depression :D exam will hurt my chances for IU. Can anyone give me any help on how to retake this C&P exam?

ptsd Increase From 70%scd For Ptsd To 100% While Still Working Full-time
I am a Vietnam Veteran and currently rated at 70% SCD for PTSD alone (no other disabilities). I love my work and feel that it's theraputic for me to continue working. Since my last C&P (2001), some of my symptoms have gotten worse and some new ones appeared. Is it possible to be awarded 100% SCD for PTSD while still employed full-time? What would be the salient points to cover in such a C&P? Thank you for your attention. Redcatcher, 67-68 11B-RTO

Blind Veteran Compensation Amount
In 1989 I was medically discharged after back surgery and given a 10% rating. (I was also having vision problems at the time of my discharge.) In 1994 my disability rating was raised to 100% due to blindness. Every year I recieve a COLA raise. I read somewhere that blind veterans recieve compensation between 3 and 6 thousand per month. I recieve much closer to 3 than 6. My question is how is this decided? Are there benefits I don't know about? I have been thru voc rehab a few times but am not working. I am divorced/widowed and live alone. Thanks for any reply. -- Jeff

Need A Little Help
Wow, this site is really awesome. There are a lot of true hero's on this site and I wanted to say thank you very much. If someone could please help me out on a time frame for finding out a decision that would be great. Me and my wife are both disabled veterans and this site has really been a great benefit. My wifes original file was placed in November 2008 with the DAV in Las Vegas, the C&P evaluation was in June. The VA doctor who performed her C&P said it was more likely than not that the back pain was causing all of the knee problems. My wife was separated from the USAF for back problems in 1995, however only rated at zero percent. Her back problems ar…

"for Those Who Know"
"My sister insit" I had a C&P exam recently and called the Va to check status of my claim. After a couple of general identification questions, he preceeded to tell me that they were waiting for my health record to come from "National personell records center" before the claim process can continue. This was very intresting to hear due to the fact the military sends all health records "recently" to the department of vetreans affairs. A feeble attempt to exploit a mentally ill person, I allowed him to continue he's lies. He then noticed that i was not being represented, I corrected him by saying iam being represented by the D.A.V. he heckled beneath his breath and proc…

C&p Exam (only Received X-rays For Knee Problem)
I did an exhaustive search, but did not have any luck on fining the answer to a question. When I did my C&P exam I complained off knee injuries to both knees (one pops out of place). I was given x-rays and an examination of my knee, but no MRI. I know MRI's are very expensive, but I also know that an x-ray does not show what an MRI does. If the x-ray does not show anything substantial would they offer an MRI or would that be on my dime? Thanks.
