  1. If you have access to your online Medical at Myhealth, check info in your medical records as far as SC%, mine updated when claim was completed. Also, when your claim shows as completed, look for the "download of letters", and there is a summary of benefits letter, that will show what current rating is and if you get 100% in any way, you should have commissary letter as well.

I got all that, before I got BBE!!

Congrats....I hope you get everything you derserve and all you want!!

All the best to you and your family!!

  2. Also, check the "Download Letters" part of ebenefits. There is a Summary of Benefits letter along with other letters that will pertain to your level of benefits according to your rating. That's how I initially found out the breakdown of my new rating to include if new rating was PT. That showed up for me as soon as they completed my claim, and a few days before I received BBE.

    Just a thought!!

All the best, and congrats on rating!!

  3. If the Attorney was retained by you and did the work on the claim...then "YES", they should be paid. My only question is, the VA considers 20% of any retro to be appropriate payment. Does your friend have a separate agreement with the lawyer for a higher amount? If so, and they did the work, then pay what you agreed to. Everything I have read though on this site and the VA site is: 20% of retro award is the normal payment.

If anyone has any different info on this then please correct what I have said.

Best wishes to you for a speedy decision, and good health!!
