  1. Same boat as you. Hubby and I haven’t received any of the stimulus. We were told since we don’t file taxes that the VA would forward this info to IRS and NOTHING. Told do submit non-filer in April 2020 and nothing. Called VA and nothing. Called IRS a few times and no one knows nothing. Finally told to do taxes to claim recovery credit 4 weeks ago and still NOTHING. Been calling IRS and due to high call volume I couldn’t get through. At this point there is nothing more then I can do. At least the deceased and prison inmates are not having an issue getting their stimulus. Lol I hope your able to resolve and receive your stimulus.
  2. Thanks jbasser! Your quick response is greatly appreciated. I got everything you said all the way up until when you said.... They work like this: 1, So does at least as likely as not mean that I am going to stay @ 50%? Sorry for not understanding the last part of your message.
  3. Hey Hadit family. It's been a while since I last posted but I have a few questions regarding my C&P for an increase 50% (PTSD/MST). I know that Hadit.com forum is the best place to get straight, honest answers. Well I just got a copy of my C&P and I don't understand a couple of notes the C&P Dr. wrote in my record. Everything that I mentioned below is pertaining to the increase of the PTSD and was either checked off or iooiwritten just as described. 1.GAF score of 45-50 mean? 2. What does Total Occupational and Social Impairment mean? 3. The claimed condition was at least as likely as not (50 percent or greater probability) incurred in or caused by the claimed in -service, injury, event, or illness. Provide rationale in section C. (section C) RATIONALE: It is least likely as not that the veteran is unemployable due to her PTSD. She has not been able to work since 2006. She is on a large amount of Quetiapine 300mg qhs, Bropropian SA 150mg po BID and 0.5mg of Clonazepam. She has significant psychiatric symptom due to her PTSD. Can anyone tell me what this means regarding my increase? Does this look good? Does the Dr. Say that I am unemployable? I get lost when the Dr. Refers to least likely not. (What is this mumbo jumbo? II thank you all in advance!!! :)
  4. My husband retired in Aug of 2012 after 23 yrs. He just saw C&P yesterday and was also seen by his PCP where the doctor was able to fill his medication's. My husband was in the Persian Gulf war (Operation Desert Storm) (1yr) and never went to Operation Iraqi Freedon or War in Afghanistan. He just received a call from the Battle Creek VA indicating that because he did not go to Operation Iraqi Freedon or War in Afghanistan he would not qualify to receive free medication. Is this true? The lady that called him from the VA told my husband to look up entitlements for VA Persian Gulf War and to get back with her. I was under the assumption that he would at least receive free medical services to include free medication for either one yr or 5 yrs. I was also told by another veteran that my husband could be seen by dental for up to one year from the time he retired from the Army and that ANYTHING that he is diagnosed within that golden window (1 yr from the date he retired) he could file a claim for anything diagnose in that 1 yr. Can anyone assist me regarding his entitlements?
  5. I really apreciate all of the help and advice that you share with the hadit.com forum. You are an angel sent from GOD. Can you please tell me what exactly is CRPD and CRSC. Also someone told me that it would be best for him to be medically retired verses just to retire. Is this true? One of his Doctors felt that he should retire medically because of all his ailments and the severity of his sleep apnea and uncontrolled high blood pressure. My husband of course objects to his primary care doctors reccommendations. The most important part for my husband is being their for his troops and to be medically discharge represents weakness and he shll have no part in that decision. I personally love this man so much and all I want is the best for him. But someone just so happened to tell me that and I just wanted to know f it were true or not to be medically discharged or just to retire regularly. Once again "THANK YOU" for your advice and your time.
  6. Hello Carlie. I am a disabled veteran who is currently 50% SC. My husband is currently active duty with 20 years in service. He will be retireing in 2 years and I posted some questions regarding his medical issues that he is being treated for. I wanted to gather as much information as I could so he could see what his disability ratings might be when he gets out. My husband never made it a point to go to sick call through out his military career and now that he is approaching retirement I have made it a priority for him to make sure he addresses all of his medical conditions before he gets out of the military. Thank God he is listening to me.
  7. Hello to all of my brothers and sister vets. Can anyone assist me with locating percentages for my husband disabilities. He is on his 20th year in the Army and in 2 years he will be retiring. For the past five years or more he has been going to the doctors with several complaints in order for his medical conditions to be documented. He has an erray of medical condition's, just recently recieved a c-pap machine for sleep apnea. He also has hypertension (taking 3 B/P medicines). The list of all of his medical conditions is the following. Sleep Apnea (c-pap machine), Knee (both arthritis), Migraines (on meds for this), shoulder(arthritis), elbow (arthritis), wrist (carpal tunnel), ankle (arthritis), vocal cords (damage scarring), acid reflex, lower and upper back pain (arthritis, requiring injections), high blood pressure (three types of meds for this), hypothryroidism (on medication), flat feet, PTSD (mild, talking to shrink), Anxiety (attacls almost every day), gastro for loose stools (upper and lower GI), hearing (mild) Where can I go inorder to find out the ratings for these conditions? Does anyone here have these conditions and if so....How much has the VA given you? Thank you all in advance.
  8. Carl, welcome to hadit. My name is Destia and I was also a victim of MST/PTSD, and because I never reported it back in 1991 I was discharged with a general discharge under honarable conditions, because after the trauma, I didn't care about anything or anyone, my DD214 states pattern of misconduct because to be honest I didn't give a shit. After years of thinking I was going crazy, someone at the VA started to asked me if I endured any form of MST while I was in the military, and ever since then my world has felt like it was crumbling down. I recieved help and counseling and decided to submit a claim but already I knew that it would be an up hill battle because I never reported the incident. One important thing that I did do was write my story. A very kind soul that I had chatted with online told me to write everything down on a sheet of paper since my memory was getting worse because of the PTSD and it took a couple of days but I managed to write my life from before I joined the military, during the military and my life after the military. I used my story along with a letter from my parents and husband stating the changes they had seen develop in me and of course the Phychologist's notes and by the grace of GOD, they approved me @ 30% in 2005, almost 14 years to the date of my incident. I recieve 30% for a neurological problem that a Dentist did to my mouth. So, anything is possible. It may take longer then others but PLEASE do not give up. :D
  9. Don't give up because if you do, THEY WIN. 10. First wanted to thank you all for your sharing your experience with Social Security. I saw that some of the members in this forum with 10, 20 and 50% SC get approved to SS. I did not think it was possible. I thought you had to be at least 70% unemployable. I stopped working in 2003 and I am 50% SC going to school online just so I can get Voc. Rehab $$. Is it possible to get SS if I am 50% enrolled in Voc Rehab. I have PTSD due to MST and Trygeminal Neuralgia (chronic painful nerve attacks that affect my face, requireing the use of percocet every 6 hours) I live in Hawaii (husband in military) and would like to apply if I could. Any advice.
  11. Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. One more question, who determines whether or not I can work. I ultimately left a great job as a nurse in the Va hospital. I was a pleasure for me to work everyday with veterans, because I am a veteran. I had to abruptly leave two weeks after I saw the person who raped me checking in with his wife and child to his appointment. I reported it to my superior and I also told my phychologist and then two weeks later I couldn't go back to work. This was over three years ago. Every time I have to go to any VA hospital, and you look at my vitals, everytime my heart rate is always over 100 beats per minute, some nurses will retake my pulse just to make sure the machine is wrong. I tell them that my heart rate is fast because I always get anxious and scared to enter any va hospital. Anyway, so should I make an appointment and see my primary care doctor, so he can write down in my records that I can no longer work. Does he solely go by what I tell him. I have contemplated getting admitted for my increased PTSD but I feel like it will only get worse because they do not have seperate care for females that have PTSD due to MST. I really dont have a problem with men in general but my condition requires me to not be as trusting because of my past. I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard spot. Once again thank you for you advice. I will take it and act on it. If I could exchange what I feel every day with my worst enemy, I would do it in a heart beat, well only if I really hated them. lol. :D
  12. I appreciate your suggestions and advice. I have been unemployed for about 3 years and I just haven't been able to do much on this pain medicine and sleepless nights with dealing with my PTSD. I have managed to go to school. I feel like I had to pull myself out of this depression just so I could get more money because of my unemployment. I did fine for a while. I worked as a LPN at the VA hospital but my worst nightmare appeared one day and checked in for an appointment with his wife and child. It was the bastard that raped me while I was in the military and I left my job two weeks later and never returned back. Anyway, again thank you for your kind words and advice.
  13. I was wondering what's the lowest percentage you have to have in order to get SSDI. I am 50% and I have not worked in 3 years. I have 30% PTSD and 30% for a nerve condition in my face (Trygeminal Neuralgia) requireing me to use oxcycodone 10mg every six hours. Can some one help me out on this question. Thanks in advance. Caroline :D
  14. Hi everybody :D . I wanted to see if anyone knew how to raise my Service Connection for PTSD. Currently my rating is 30% for PTSD due to MST. I use to work at a VA hospital for about 3 years as a nurse and I abruptly quit because on one occasion I saw the bastard that hurt me while I was active duty checking in for an appointment with his wife and child. Almost two weeks later I decided to never return to work and I moved from Virginia to Michigan. I have not worked since. What I decided to do so I could make some money I went back to school. I have been a student for 1 year and a couple of months but I feel like quitting because it is getting harder for me to focus and concentrate. I also have a neurological condition 30% (Trygeminal Neuralgia) requireing me to use oxcycodone every six hours, been doing this for about 7 years now. The neurologist suggested that I should see someone in mental health, because if I can alleviate the depression my pain might go away. I also have a choice to have brain surgery that will stop the pain immediately but I might suffer paralysis. I will be damned if anyone does brain surgery on me. My question is.....Since I have not worked for over 3 years because of the PTSD and pain requireing the use of narcotics, can I increase my percentage? Currently I am 50%, someone told me to apply for social security, is this even possible? Anyway advice will be greatly appreciated. B)
  15. One more thing. Pain is considered chronic pain after six months of being in pain. Based soley on what I have experienced and seen. Men are the providers (most men atleast) and are taught to be strong, and only the weak will complain. When something is left in the dark it will come to light one way or another. Unfortunately alot of people that have to endure disabilities that limit their quality of life eats them up inside and they become depress. If any of your disabilities begin to effect this....You need to seek a referal for Mental Health. Depression in people that suffer pain if left untreated will only prolong the pain and even intensify it. High insight leaving you will another seconadary side effect. If you never injured your back.....your chances of being depressed because of your limitations created by this disability would have never begun. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Go to all of your appointments. Get copies and read what the Doctor has said about his findings. Example: I have seen this oh too much. Dr. sometime put down patient has continued to state that his right knee hurts him when walking. WRONG WRONG WRONG. Patient has continued to state that his LEFT knee hurts. Watch out what the Doctors write in your medical records, it may might be completely correct.
