Update Like Gomer Pile use to say suprise, suprise. I called the D.A.V. yesterday and of course all I got was a voice mail. So I left a message last night about 845 I received a phone call from the D.A.V. Well at that time I was takeing my daily medication of pain pills and Jim Beam. I have never heard of the DAV calling at night. He told me that he would have somebody look into my claim and call me today. Oh by the way another appt at the VA medical center today have to meet with my surgon for my 3RD SKIN CANCER OPERATION RATED AT 0 PERCENT. Hope you all have a great day Jim

Thanks Guys Well this is an apeal after losing a NOD I took hadits advice and asked for a DRO hearing had that back in June then was given a C+P exam so I will hope for the best and keep you sll informned Jim

Just got off the phone with the 1800 joke number. I was told that my claim is in the authorization office. Has anybody ever heard of that office? Or is it a new term to get me off of the phone? According to the 800 number its been with that office since January 5 08. Thanks for any info Jim

Well Last week my local VA hospital did I Biopsy for skin cancer. I alredy have had two operations (where they put me under) for skin cancer. The last one was November 2nd 06. Well I got the call on Thursday (been drunk since) that my biopsey came back postive and the will have to operate again. OIf course after the 3rd operation the VA will say the cancer is gone and conuine to rate me o percent. Forgot about the scaring on my face thats ok because Iit will not be two inches long. Man the VA pisses me off after 3 operatiomns I bet thge will say I am cure we will just keep you at o percent. Sorry If I am venting just pissed Jim B)

Hey Rental Guy I agree with you I have Tricare since I am retired AF. I use the VA 100 percent of the time because then my whole medical file is there for them to see. Jim

I don't know as much as I schould about the VA, Thats why I come to Hadit. I due know that mine was the opposite. I clamined high frequencey hearing loss. The C+P doctor from QC said that my hearing loss was not the bad but I had Tinnitus ( she asked me a few questions.) SO I was disaproved for hearing loss but aproved for Tinnitus without even putting in a claim for Tinnitus V/ B) R Jim

I was looking at a new truck Ford will give you the x-plan it is less the dealer invoice plus the rebates but you must be a member of the DAV. Not a bad deal if you want a ford Jim

When I called DFAS I feeel like I am calling the VA, They have been working on My file, Its with the supervisor. Tried calling on the 16th. The answering machine said my weight would be 2 hours. First we were to be paid by march then last Oct Well if It comes in November maybe I can give the wife a good xmas Jim

Its not just OIF or OEF Vets who are getting pushed to the front of the line. Its anybody who seperated since Oct 01. I retired in April 03 and was told at my DRO hearing that I was at the front of the Line. I did not sevre in either countries driectly. Did server in Saudi at the begining of OEF. But my claim is over 3 years old. So if this is front of the line service I hate to be in the back Jim

Sleep apena with a CPAP machine for me was 50 percent, But letter when I finally got the VA to admit service conection for broncitios they just added that to the sleep apena Good Luck Jim

Just a quick question I f anybody knows the Answer. I had a C+P exam in june by QTC medical services. Is a copy of that exam kept at the VA medical center I use or is it only in my c-file. Thanks Jim

Sometimes it can be a good thing I went for a C+P exam for my hearing the Doc asked about ringing in my ears. Next thing I know I am 10 percent for tinntius. I never claimned tinntius (sorry about the spelling) Jim

Hey Boats Do you know what number they use? The first test number or the secound test after they gave me medication. Also it was the one in VA beach. They had the nerve to give me a check for 5 bucks and some change. You know I hit the HRBT at rush hour on the way home Jim

Well I had my C+P exam yesterday. A little background first a lot of you know I have been fighting with my R.O for over 3 years there are still three issues on the table. Service connection for Asbestos. VA has admitted that my job is probably for asbestoses exposure.. Right shoulder pain in SMR’r .Back pain one notation in service record. Ok that’s the background went to a DRO hearing in June. Got a call about 2 weeks ago that I would have a C+P exam on August 23 at 1 PM. Was told that I would receive a letter in the mail with a questionnaire in it. Was told that it was for asbestoses. Well did not receive any letter in the mail. Went to my C+P exam they gave me the questioners to fill out it was for all 3 items. Ok so far so good. Here were it gets bad. Seeing the doctor he had none of my records at all. I asked him if he had the Xrays from the VA medical center for my claim he said no. I asked him if he had the MRI from the VA center he said no. They took x-rays but why was the MRI not available to the doctor? I was then given a PFI test? The one were you blew in the tube and they check your lung capacity? Nurse told me it was a 71 anybody know what that means? Then they gave me an inhaler 2 take two shots of medicine waited a half an hour and had me take the test again. Then it was normal. Anybody know why they did that? Thanks, Jim

Betrayed Its not just OIF or OEF vets that get priorty. I was told when I went to my DRO hearing that all vets discharged after 11 sept 01 have priority. I was in Saudi for OIF but am considered a Vet on the priorty list because us in Saudi were given the original Global War on terrisom medal. I know guys who never serverd a day overseas but got discharged after Sept 11 01 who are going right thru the system Jim
