I feel that I did not really help you much in the past with your claim-and this problem -it seemed a problem that only the VA could resolve-if you demanded they resolve it-this was obvious retro for your husband - as a dependent's allowance- they are so dumb sometimes- I cant believe it! How long did this retro take after the actual award letter? THANK YOU - the BOOP doesnt take any POOP! You fought them and won again! Just great news ! Just like I said the $$ came into my acct too yet the VARO and the OK depository said it wasn't in the computer yet. I don't care in computer or not when it's in the bank that's all that counts. Berta, You would be surprised just how much you did help me. You made me take your dare for that Independent Medical Opinion. The money is in the bank, but have not received the letter. Total time for all was less than four months. Now it is time for me to secure a lawyer, to find out why the VA thinks in 2005 I was totally disabled, but not in 1992. They should have acquired those military psychiatric records and gave me a C&P then. I am sure when I receive the letter they will make it all sound good. How do I begin to say thanks to everyone on this site. A Blessing to me you have been. My husband did my check book for me this morning and there was a huge deposit. I called the call number, the guy was stunned also. I don't have the letter, but I do know that I was given 10% for Mirgraine headaches back to 1992. Declared 100% P&T. Unemployability was not addressed. He said, I could continue to work if I wanted too. I had to laugh, told him, if I couldn't at 39 years of age, sure couldn't now. He had to laugh also. Anyways, I was paid the 13 years back pay for my husband, this tells me I will need to later contact a lawyer to get rid of that 10%. I want the rest of the money they owe me. It may work out best for me, if they just keep deposting money in my account every 4 months.
