Congress Filner On Dr. Phil...today...3:00 Cst

In the Central Time Zone this show is on at 3:00 PM pm Channel 5. I will be different in other time zones and Channels. It could have some relevance on treatment changes that will be happening in this administration. Congressman Filner was re-appointed as the Chairman of the Veterans Affairs Committee.

Did anyone recommend to the viewing audience to write their elected official to force change?

If not, what's the use?!

I grow weary of the constant lip service, and media attention, but there's never any change!

I've written to my "elected officials" until my fingers are wore out and what good has it done??? Nada, nothing, zip, squat.

Most of the time I don't even get a response and the responses I do get are crap.

Political types don't care. At least the ones here in Ohio don't. Politicians are only in it for what is good for them and their career.

For those who watched this show today...there was a shameless plug at the end for a veterans forum (that I won't even name). I went to this web-site and it is restricted to Iraq and Afghanistan vets only!!! To join you have to submit paperwork to prove you were in one of these two places.

The guy who represented this forum spoke a good word on the show....but gee,,,,,failed to mention that little bit of information.

Instead of writing your elected official....write to Dr Phil.

I saw the show. Two vets have to get charity to get help with service connected problems. These injustices should be shouted from the roof tops. There should be 20 Dr. Phil type shows letting the American people know how veterans are being treated. The show did not mention the fact you have to prove you have PTSD via a verifiable stressor even if you spent 4 years in a combat zone. Filner said the VA strategy is to deny,deny,deny and wait for people to forget. People assume that disabled vets are being taken care of by their government. What a bunch of sheep. They avert their eyes not to see the awful truth. We could really fill them in here on Hadit, but no one is listening. Vietnam all over again. Years from now there will be thousands of OIF/OEF vets living as homeless types just like the generations before them.
