Sleep Apnea Va Rating Info

I just wanted to help out people that might have sleep apnea and were wondering what the VA rates the condition. I hope this helps.

6847 Sleep Apnea Syndromes (Obstructive, Central, Mixed):

Chronic respiratory failure with carbon dioxide retention or cor

pulmonale, or; requires tracheostomy.................................................................. 100

Requires use of breathing assistance device such as continuous

airway pressure (CPAP) machine.........................................................................

. 50

Persistent day-time hypersomnolence ......................................................................... 30

Asymptomatic but with documented sleep disorder breathing......................................... 0

That was my feeling exactly. I had my exam in February. I guess I will hear something in the 105 day period. Just need to keep my mind on other things.

vet12.....Although there are Regional Offices that adjudicate their claims faster than others, don't be surprised if they don't contact you way past the time you heard. Without going into my opinion as to why, I'll just say, that's just how it is these days. and it's bound to get worse before it's brought to come to a halt. The best thing to do to make it less frustrating is find a good hobby to get your mind off of it.

I am rated 0% for lung disease. I use a CPAP machine. I have a claim in for CPAP secondary to the lung disease. What are my chances of approval? Thanks vet12

How does anyone get 0% fro lung disease? What type lund disease do you have?
