100% Disability Rating

Question

I'm not sure if this question has been answered else where in the forum. If so, excuse me.

I'm currently rated at 30% and have three claims pending for which I have already had my C&P exams. PN, IHD, and PTSD/Depression & Anxiety. I'm assuming that the IHD alone will push me over the 100% + mark rating but like alot of us, we are still waiting on that decision. Oh, by the way, I called the 1-800- number and was told they would make a final decision on my PN claim after my PTSD exam. What's does PN have to do with PTSD???

My question is, Will I qualify for medicare if my total disability rating reaches100%?

I filed for SSDI over a year ago on the advise of my cardiologist and was denied through all 4 steps because there was a debatable question if I still qualified for SSDI since I hadn't paid in to it for almost 10 years. My attorney of course turned out to be a flunky, didn't have the guts to take on the goverment, and like many others, I got screwed........

Your input is appreciated.....

Jeff

I never have or for that matter will understand why SS grants a SSDI claim and still makes the client wait 24 months for Medicare!

Anyone know the logic behind that?

I would think this would be a great issue to bring up with the congress critters. My argument would be if someone can not work because of a condition that is going to need treatment. Why in ---'s name does the SS deny medicare?

This could end up killing a few and probably already has!

I think the idea is to kill a few people. It cuts down on cost. Making a disable person wait two years for medicare is the congressional hope you will die very soon before you get medicare. Always about the money. Disabled and old farts are considered liabilites by our government IMO.

The main reason they do it is because it usually takes 2 plus years to get to an ALJ hearing. This allows them not to have to back up and pay medical expenses for 2 years while the claim is ongoing.

I hope your referring to three issues instead of three claims. If you have three seperate claims, then you slowed donw your claim. Also could you spell out what PN equates to? If you look at all the different issues PTSD can be combined with, you'll find that allot of things can be linked with it. If the PN has something to do with the heart, and you learn you have sleep apnea, theis is a blessing. Thus you can get service connected for Sleep Apnea and if your on a CPAP, this will give you another 50% rating.
