cooter
Copy the report, Scan the copy and post it, remove your personal info. It dont look too good. Did it say how many apneas you experienced? J 15 obstructive apneas, 4 central apneas, 1 hypopnea, sleep efficiency 64.3%. The lady said she would place a CPAP on me if I needed it, it appeared I didn't have to. Final diagnoses was (1) Hypersomnia, (2) Mild upper airway resistance syndrome. Hope this post goes thru. I been having troubles with this site.

Moderator pacmanx1 Posted December 7, 2010 Moderator Share Posted December 7, 2010 This is just my opinion but you need to see a sleep specialist, not the technician that observed you during your test but a Doctor that deals with people that have sleep apnea and have them explain to you what is going on with your body when you sleep. Sleep apnea is one of those silent killers, if your body stops breathing while you are asleep and you don't wake up and begin to breathe right, you will die. Sorry, not trying to be scary but this is the truth, the doctor may recommend that you need another sleep study or they may recommend you be put on the CPAP machine which will help with your apnea attacks. Thanks pete My ENT Dr. that requested the study didn't seem to be concerned to much, but then again he's not a sleep specialist either. Maybe he's getting kickbacks for the CPAP machine, and thats the reason he requested it. I did hear that the study's are usually done twice. you are right pete, I think I will get an appt. with a specialist.
HadIt.com Elder Philip Rogers Posted December 7, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 7, 2010 All I know is that in 6 hrs I had 59 instances of apnea or poor breathing. And all this time I just thought my plumbing was going bad and I needed to pee, too frequently. We'll see what happens. pr
