Revokation Of "poa"

Question

I have a question on revokation of Power of Attorney or POA.

When a veteran is firing his lawyer in the letter to the lawyer does the veteran or should the veteran list the reasons why he is letting his lawyer go,

If you could answer my question that would be great. Thanks again for every ones help. Also i plan to send the letter green card return receipt to the law firm..

I believe one letter goes to the lawyer and one goes to the local VARO holding the veterans POA. If I remember right.

Thks.

There is no obligation to state why you are revoking a poa that I'm aware of. If it's for "cause", you may wish to state why if the poa is an "accredited" poa.

And, when you appoint a new poa, the old poa is supposedly automatically removed. The new appointment paperwork may refer to the old poa as superseded.

I went through this exercise when the overall performance of the state veteran affairs department was less than needed, and had to "hire" a lawyer.

The lawyer, with the required paperwork, becomes the poa.

Submission to the VA (on the appropriate forms, etc.by the lawyer, with my signature on those that required it) of the fact that the lawyer represents me was the key.

Use form 21-22 and note your new POA, submit it to the VA and send, if you wish a copy to the OLD POA. Info you got from CHUCK75 is on the nose.

grent,

If this is an actual lawyer or firm, what did your contract state ?

How much will it cost you to get out of the agreement ?
