Meeting With Pyschol Dr.

Rate this question

Hollis

Question

Last Thursday I had a meeting with psycholoist, this is the same Dr that gave the 16 weeks group therapy. I felt very relaxed while we was talking, little did I know he was typing every word I was saying to the questions he was asking. At the end I got a copy of the questionair, The GAF WAS 55, SO I GUESS I WILL GET LOW BALLED from the VA on the rating. All I can say is don't let your guard down, when you know the DR. Thanks to all who makes a comment on this.

Thanks donnh777, that is what showing on my metal health report. I have filed, just waiting on the VA to call for a C& eval. So you are thinking that will equate to a 30%-50% rating, and if it comes in at 30% appeal it and hope for 50%? I also claimed and file for HBP as seconary to having PTSD.

thanks again

GAF is only ONE THING factored into the evaluation for percentage and does not

carve any minimum or maximum evaluation into the decision.

You don't file a NOD or Appeal, in hopes of anything -

you file it because the medical evidence supports a higher evaluation.

Well I got a letter in the mail yesterday, seems like they have scheduled me an appointment for PTSD individual clinic Nov 15. The letter said nothing about C&P, so I guess this is another evaluation .This is 6 months after the ending of the 16 weeks of PTSD thraphy. But, I do know one thing, that is, they keep charging my ins co.BCBS for each visit. I just have to wait and see how things goes when I get there. But things around here aren't getting any better. I so wanted to go see the fire work displayed, but the noise of them going off would have set me off. So I sat here last night and watched TV.

I read on the internet yesterday that a org of veterans are trying to getthe DoD to award the PHM to all veterans who have been dianosed with PTSD. I would like to hear from the group of vet on here what they think of it.

This has been discussed for several years.

I believe if there is no blood or physical injury

this will not happen.

I have decided to keep my personal opinion to myself.
