Do you know if P&T status was awarded ? Yup, Permanent and Total - not scheduled for future examinations. Will be 20 years though, before I'll believe the P&T. Be sure to checK out eligibility for you and family members for any additional benefits that may now be available - to include any and all State Veterans benefits. NC does not tax the first $45,000.00 of house value for taxes - not as good as TX and FL who don't charge you any taxes for your home - but it's something:). I'll definitely be getting that fishing license for life that they offer for $10.00:) Also, if you made VAMC co-payments after the effective date, you should be able to recoup those. Thanks, remember having to pay for more then a few co-pays, but was not sure if it was for Tri-Care (prime) for a referral to specialist or VA as I use both...they included a phone number to call "you may also be eligible for a refund based on this rating decision." Spend wisely - but enjoy some too. Gonna order a couple of good ol' filet mignons and cook them up myself and pay off bills - then squirrel away the rest....who knows when and if the next check will come considering what is going on with the US financial/political situation.
