CHAMPVA is separate in some respects from regulart VA dependents benefits. http://www.va.gov/hac/forbeneficiaries/champva/champva.asp She can apply on line. I think all I got from the VARO was a letter ,separate from the 100% P & T posthumous AC award for my husband, advising me to apply for CHAMPVA. If this is a CRDP or CRSC issue ,there is plenty info here on that.......my phone keeps ringing and I forget ....you are TRICARE so many this will affect you via DFAS......
