Berta
WOW this is great news! "has been receiving 30 percent for 18 years. He was afraid to request increase over the years because last time they decreased to 30. In October I helped him request increase." Did he appeal the decrease at all? If so did he then receive something between the 30% and the 100%? It is always possible that VA made a clear and unmistakable error in the decreased decision. Do you still have that decision? If we can read the Reasons and Basis and evidence list for the older decision, we could determine if he might possibly be able to get a better retro payment.due to CUE. Hard to say at this point.... can you scan and attach that older reduction decision here? (Cover C file number, name, address etc.prior to scanning it.) THANK YOU for helping your spouse! Edited February 28, 2015 by Berta GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

63SIERRA
great news... trying to reduce to scare a vet is one of VA s common tactics. the sad part is, your husband likely should have been recieving the 100 percent for a long time.
