marine0816
This is a good calculator cause it adds the bilateral factor math for you http://www.tnvso.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/vadisabilitycalc02a.xls 2004-06= 0% 2006-13= 10% 2013-14= 30% 2014-17= 90% 2017= 100% 2018 = 100% PT (still at BVA)

Moderator broncovet Posted March 23, 2015 Moderator Share Posted March 23, 2015 How long have you been treated for depression? In the "protected ratings" schedule, 5 years equates in protections to P and T. So, after you have been treated for 5 years, you could reasonably expect your condition to have "stabalized". My reccomendation would be that until/unless you have sought treatment for 5 years straight, then seeking P and T probably wont fly. However, if you have already been under treatment for 5 years, then you could/should consider appealing the P and T issue. P and T is a pretty big issue: It makes you eligible for a whole bunch more stuff, like Chapter 35, insurance for dependents (Champva) and many state benefits. Someone will correct me if P and T is NOT necessary for Champva. P and T will also get you a "base" ID card, to shop at the commissary and use the military facility, such as the gym there, too. marine0816
You don't need to be PT to get base ID cards 2004-06= 0% 2006-13= 10% 2013-14= 30% 2014-17= 90% 2017= 100% 2018 = 100% PT (still at BVA)
