Sad news, a sailor died today. Our brother Stretch has passed away. The details will follow. Stretch has been on hadit.com so long even I don't remember when he joined, before 2005 that's for sure.

Stretch so believed in our mission that he dedicated endless hours of his own time reading the forum and answering questions where he could. He also volunteered and was the sole technical expert for our podcast and he volunteered his time freely because of him we have archives of the podcasts back to 2010.

I am writing my memoirs and would love it if you could help a shipmate out and look at it.

I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life.

The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans.

I posted a condolence message there minutes after I posted the obit link here.yesterday

It still shows no messages at the web site for Mike's family .

Who else here has posted a condolence there ?

I could call the funeral home if others didn't have their message to Chris and the family show up.

I mentioned some of the many things Mike has done for us here and how he get kept us on the year with years of broadcasts through SVR and the hadit Blog show. Added a funny brief hadit post he made too, for the Christmas show we did in 2007,.

Personally I think veterans should prepare their obits in their lifetimes.

and list every award they received from their service in them.

It's on some of the older SVR shows where he plays intro music,

I think we can find some but we have done a whole lot of shows.

John

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.
