Sad news, a sailor died today. Our brother Stretch has passed away. The details will follow. Stretch has been on hadit.com so long even I don't remember when he joined, before 2005 that's for sure.

Stretch so believed in our mission that he dedicated endless hours of his own time reading the forum and answering questions where he could. He also volunteered and was the sole technical expert for our podcast and he volunteered his time freely because of him we have archives of the podcasts back to 2010.

Carlie We have been looking for the Obituary. I dont think there will be a service. I think it will be a cremation and a quickie.

Strange things happen like this.

I'm not good at dealing with death/loss. My tendency is to put it aside and move-on, something I learned and needed in VN. I haven't been able to change that part of me. Stretch will be greatly missed!!! He no longer has to fight the VA. I personally will miss his great sense of humor!

Stretch is not suffering any more but I know his family is grieving. My heart and prayers go out to them.
