Just heard on the news that the Waco Tx RO is making headway in the Claims Backlogs but won't be caught up by the end of the year.

so does this mean if veteran files a claim now they won't get to it until 2016?

I never understood why we need to send our claims to the 2 different locations claims mail centers /Wisconsin / Georgia Depending oh where you live East or West.

When its the RO that decides the claim.

I save them as a PDF file on my computer so I can view them when I want. Not much on mine yet, and nothing on the my C&P's just that an RN signed off on something on July 27th, and that I need a cholesterol screening and some old data about my service dates on active duty and reserves. Lot of blank pages otherwise in a 39 page PDF document.

If you send VA some document's via e-benefits how do you know they received them? which is critical to a claim.

if I have to send a copy via snail mail..what good is e-benefits?

the postage is getting expensive to send sign certified receipts. (green card) just saying!!

You will receive an immediate confirmation with a confirmation #. Additionally, when you come upon the UNSOLICITED DOCUMENTS section, you'll see what documents they have received and the date they received them.

As for the UNSOLICITED DOCUMENTS section, I found mine under All Uploaded Documents

After you log into eBenefits, go to your DASHBOARD and click on MANAGE

Then, you will see this on the left side of the screen, along with other choices:

• Claims
• Work in Process
• Historical Claims
• Click on Work in Process if you currently have a claim pending. If not, click on the Historical Claims
• Once you get to the list of claims, click on any date listed under the Date Submitted column.
• That will take you to the claim info where you will find the following choices:

Needed from You Needed from Others All Uploaded Documents

Click on the All Uploaded Documents

At the bottom of the page, you will see this:

Don't see a document listed? Check our Unsolicited Items page to see if it was received by VA.

When you click on the Check our Unsolicited Items page, it should take you to this page:

What We Have Received from You (unsolicited)

You submitted the following unsolicited items that may or may not be required to expedite the processing of your claim.
