allansc2005
Afternoon folks, new kid on the block here. Last week I was diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome, which is an autoimmune syndrome, it's also known as Siccus Syndrome. I was going through the VA's lists of medical conditions, and didn't fine the condition. Anyone have any information on how the VA rates Sjogren's or Siccus Syndrome? Thanks, Allan
0 Gastone
The non SC SA doesn't help your IU Award, nor the Denial Letter. The reason for the Denial has to be based strictly on your SC Conditions. Let me throw something out there for you to consider. How tall and what did you weigh when you were separated from the Service? Do you have a copy of your Separation medical Exam? Is there the slightest chance, your BMI during service of at Separation would have placed you in either the Obese or Pre-Obese category? Could be grounds for a OSA Secondary to in service Symptoms or DX Obese Claim. Semper Fi
0 allansc2005
I'm 6' 8", and probably weighed around 230 at separation. Don't have a copy of my Separation medical exam. Weight has never been an issue with me, I've always been well within the BMI.
0 allansc2005
Gastone, The Voc Rehab folks have not contacted me. It's been a few weeks since I pinged them on my Ebenefits page.
0 Gastone
Sorry Allen, WTF does "pinged them on E-Ben" mean? Much easier for me to ask, rather than look back. Do you currently have a VA Voc Rehab Counciler? I do and I have her Direct VA RO Tel # and .gov E-mail address. Last time I looked at my E-Ben acct, been a few weeks, only contact with VA Voc Rehab was an E-File application for Benefits. Semper Fi
0 allansc2005
Gastone, As per your suggestion, I applied for Voc Rehab on my Ebenefits page some weeks ago, and have heard nothing. I don't have anyone assigned to me from Voc Rehab. "pinged" means to contact someone, something...etc.
0 Berta
You mentioned you get SSDI...is that solely for SC conditions? If so that is good evidence for TDIU but VA has to be aware of the SSDI award.

Usually they use analogous ratings. See which disorder has similar symptoms.
