Mental Health DBQ

Any guess what the percentage will be for this on? My guess is 50% based on the symptoms.

DBQ for MDD W/Chronic pain.

Secondary to SC Back

3. OCCUPATIONAL AND SOCIAL IMPAIRMENT

• ·          Occupational and social impairment with occasional decrease in work efficiency and intermittent periods of inability to perform occupational tasks,although generally functioning satisfactorily, with normal routine behavior, self-care and conversation

FOR VA RATING PURPOSES, CHECK ALL SYMPTOMS THAT APPLY TO THE VETERAN'S DIAGNOSES

• Depressed mood

• Anxiety

• Panic attacks more than once a week

• Impaired judgment

• Disturbances of motivation and mood

• Difficulty in establishing and maintaining effective work and social relationships

• Difficulty adapting to stressful circumstances, including work or a work like setting

Shaman,  I would say 30-50%, only because of the occupational statement"with occasional decrease in work effiency", however you do have more symptoms than 30% in my opinion,  so it could very well be 50% if the rater goes by symptoms as they should

Thank you Flores for your response. I should find out here in 2 - 3 weeks. Those FDC are moving along fast these days. If this claim gets done next month it'll be under 90 days.  I did file only one disability and the package was solid with an IME and treatment records.  I'll post to this thread when I have the results.

Was your above DBQ posting from your Actual MH C & P? Was the Dr (Psychiatrist or Psychologist PhD?) VA or Contract?

Can't say I'm familiar with straight MH DBQs, primarily PTSD and now Thanks to FlNurse, MST/PTSD DBQs. I thought the Drs were required to opine regarding each of the "Checked" Symptoms.

Any chance you could post the actual redacted DBQ?

Thank you for your response Gastone. This was an IME/IMO by a Psychologist  that I had done for a FDC that I put in for.

I'll work on getting that full DBQ posted, have to edit out all the personal info.
