Carl the Engineer
Anyone have a guess how a Irregular heartbeat would be rated?, if it was to be service connected. I see in the VA archives that Veterans have been granted service connection, just wondering how it would be scored. Thanks, Hamslice
0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted March 22, 2018 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 22, 2018 Yes I agree with jbasser here the cradiac catherization test is a camera usually go in at the groin area and they can run that thing all the way up to the heart and check things out, if I remember right as they had to do this to my spouse. she said it was not all that bad just the part at the groin area is a little sensenstive . 0 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Vync Posted March 26, 2018 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 26, 2018 When you visit the cath lab, pay particular attention to the instructions they give you about how to care for the bandage and when it needs to be removed. 0 Carl the Engineer
Went to my Cardiologist on Tuesday. He upped my meds and because of my recent (1-1/2 years) early (extra) heart beats, I went in today and they put a Holter heart monitor on me for 24 hours. Take it off tomorrow and give it back. He will let me know in a week or two what they get from that. Other than that, he said every looked good. FWIW, Hamslice
0 Gastone
The Heart only gets (1) Rating, unlike the Knee. Whichever Heart Condition get the Higher SC, that will be your Heart SC, the Heart is a "No Pyramiding" Zone.
0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted June 15, 2018 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted June 15, 2018 (edited) Good luck on your test results Hamslice. I talked to a veteran here while back that was having to go in and have a ''pig ear'' valve put in. if a veteran is rated a certain % for heart disease can he also get a % for things leading up to his heart disease?..or any secondary conditions?....like this pig ear valve surgery? I am not sure what he meant by'' pig ear valve'' surgery? but assume it is heart related condition? and heart surgery is necessary to repair his heart.
