VA Agents List 2018

Question

Here's something to keep at your fingertips, folks. I have to turn away about 90 % or more of those who come to me now because of my workload and prior commitments. However, there are a lot of my fellow agents who are eager for work. Sometimes it's just an inability to connect with the one that "fits" you. I don't advertise as I don't need to. I know if some of you who wish to hire competent legal help have this, you may consider some of these folks. What the hey. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Of course, the 64,000 question is how much does an "accredited agent" cost?  Is this capped by law, and at what percent, if so?  Does the percentage agreed upon include or exclude things like expenses, such as copying, phone calls, fees to the court, etc?

I have a policy that dumb questions are less expensive than dumb mistakes.

Question??

Does a Veteran have to have a Present  Claim in or on Appeal to request his/her C-File? the Newer Version on CD.??

If I remember on the form  It specifically states what is the reason your request for your C-File?

I need mine to find a certain Document the DRO stated in a decision back in 2003. and aren't the Rating Sheets Suppose to be in your C-FILE?

A live version of the list can found online at: https://www.va.gov/ogc/apps/accreditation/index.asp

@eli,
You can download the list as an Excel file. From there, you can sort/order by the state column.

@Vync

Thank you for the link.  Although I wouldn't/won't be using an agent it will be easier to pass on the info to other vets if I am able to separate it out by state for them.  :)

...[snip]...

I am still combing my C-File   So for I have found something different in t each time I start reading it.  but not the records or Document I need.  but its got to be around here some place.  I also have my Paper-C-file I had got it a year or two before they sent me the CD C-File in 2015

The only thing with these New CD Formatted CD C-Files  They don't have copy's of anything in Pencil especially light pencil lead.

When I was in Voc Rehab  my counslor assist always wrote up things in pencil and stamp dated it ,  well his seal for the STAMP DATE IS ON THERE BUT NOTHING TO GO WITH IT.  GRrrrrrrrrr

I didn't know at that time to always use dark ink back then or type out...  it was around 2000./2001

Boy I agree with you Buck!  My C-File dates from the early 1970s when everything was hard copy.  BTW, the best part about those hand written hard copies is that when YOU scan them in with your home scanner you can take them into Photoshop or some other photo editor and play with the exposure and contrast levels and bring up what was next to invisible.  Lowering the contrast is very helpful.

HorizontalMike

Roger that

I will sure try that out

it looks like hen scratch , just a bunch of scribbling and dots but the stamp date is absolutely fine.

Thanks Mike.
