Intent to File, 365 days to?

This may be a dumb question but with the intent to file, I understand we have 365 days until that date. 

But is this 365 days to initiate a claim as in just submitting it. Or is it 365 including everything as in submitting and then going to your exam and waiting to conclude your disability %?

This is your lucky day, because...the answer you want to hear is the same. You must submit in 365 days; you don't have to worry about the VA scheduling you a C&P, or how long it takes to get results, or make a decision, etc., etc. Just get it in before one year is up. You need to file your claim within 365 days of the intent to file.  The C&P's and decision take place after you file so they are not included in the 365 days.

Correct.  The Veteran has no control over how long it takes VA to do anything.  Just get it filed within a year.
