Intent to File, 365 days to?

Rate this question

Question

This may be a dumb question but with the intent to file, I understand we have 365 days until that date.

But is this 365 days to initiate a claim as in just submitting it. Or is it 365 including everything as in submitting and then going to your exam and waiting to conclude your disability %?

This is your lucky day, because...the answer you want to hear is the same. You must submit in 365 days; you don't have to worry about the VA scheduling you a C&P, or how long it takes to get results, or make a decision, etc., etc. Just get it in before one year is up. Do it now! And good luck. If you have questions, we will try to help.
