Helpful C&P examiner?

Rate this question

WillyB

Question

Recently had a psych exam and the C&P examiner was coming up with ideas\theories that were extremely beneficial to my claim.   I truly felt more support from her than my VSO officer. I'm not asking if this is a good thing but I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen?  Usually I leave a c&P angry

Buck52 is spot on. WillyB, try not to get too pumped up on this; your examiner works for someone, and her decision has to be signed off. It wouldn't be the first time a veteran was told favorable stuff and wham, they  get something completely different than the verbal. Wait to get your decision in writing. You're past experience with the VA indicates how they work. I'm not saying it's going to be bad news, but wait and see it. Best of luck.

IT'S A GOOD THING  BECAUSE RARELY DO THEY DO THAT!

BUT KEEP IN MIND  NO MATTER WHAT THE EXAMINER TELLS US  THEY CAN SAY ONE THING TO OUR FACE AND MEAN ANOTHER IN THEIR REPORT.

SO YOU have to wait for the report and see if your examiner was on the up and up  or just shooting some B.S.??  you won't know until you read this examiner report.

Thank you very much for the reply.  I always proceed with the VA with an air of skepticism and mistrust.

My opinion is you have to READ the C and P exam report to know.  Some people are just "poker faced" and smile and say things you want to hear, then "stick it to you" on the report.  We dont know, it could well be a favorable exam, and if it sounded good, it probably is.  However, you wont know until you read the exam.  When the doc "throws his cards down" you will finally know if he was bluffing or not.

Don't be too pessimistic, my last two PTSD exams, one by an inside doctor and one by a contract doctor went extremely well and the reports were good.  On the other hand I have had neurologists say thank-you for your service as they were twisting the knife in my back.  I really hate that, they thank you and then shaft you.
