Until there is a vaccine things will not go back to normal.  Also normal will never be the same again.  My wife has asthma and we have never been worried like this.  I mean every time you hear someone died they have an underlying condition.

So for my family we will always be more cautious as one day she will get it and we will have to deal with it.

GB

I had a private specialist write up me an impression letter from his experience in reading some of my STR's and VA Reports from Dr  I got off myhealthyvet   after he examined me ..I just mention for him to use VA lingo '' is as likely as not''  and ''is related to or caused by '' his military service   ect,,ect,,,

He also mention if you have any questions please call my office  and gave the hours he was open  and his phone #

It was a good letter  he went deep into the Medical parts  better than the VA Dr's did..it took him only a week and they sent it to me at my address.

Buck the Intent to File would get you in the door because it doesn't require the veteran to declare a specific disability at first. But, if the form for ptsd is the same one as  depression, anxiety etc. I thought so. When you get the time can you just advise the dbq form number? I'll try and find a blank copy someplace.

The ITF is good  and you can file for your claim anytime within 12 months after filing the INT  GIVES YOU A EARLY EED just file it within a year, you can file this form   and file for the PTSD Anytime within the 1 year  it actually gives you a year to to gather evidence , but if you have all the evidence  then you can just file for the PTSD  need a good statement from spouse  detailing how your behavior/moods is  ect,,ect,,,

The Form for filing PTSD =21-0789  or 21 0789 (a)  for MST

Also you can use the 21 -526ez

Statement  in support of claim 21-4138

House bound A&A 21-2680

Unfortunately I can't find my copies of the PTSD DBQ's??

I had a few  but were moving and maybe they got put in storage?  I'll keep searching for them.

Buck Don't go out of your way; I'll get it somewhere.

And, regarding te ITF. What I like about it is you can just do it on line and see pretty quickly that the VA has  a record of it and it is in the system. So, the veteran can just submit the ITF, not even state what he or she is filing for but still lock in your file date. One of the very few things I can point to in the claims process that is veteran-friendly.
