Question

Well,

I went to the VA clinic on Thursday and they took my annual blood sample, and now on Friday, I have my annual VA physical with the new Covid issues,

Via, VA Video Connect (VVC) Appointment.

Not sure how the prostate exam is going to work,

Hamslice

Follow up after Friday's appointment..

Hamslice  you got to go to your vamc  for blood work/test?

I need to see my va urologist pretty bad  but my pcp WON'T put in for a referral she said since the covid -19 no appointments are made   if I have an emergency  go to the E.R..  duh  so in case I have prostate cancer go to the ER humm ok I never knew that   duh!!!

I been doing the VVC Appointments with my MH Dr's and therapist now for the last 2 months...no problem there actually I like it better than being there in person...no hassle getting up at 5:00am  to head out to my VAMC Appointments  for a while at least...

but I am ready for this coronavirus crap to head out to the sea and disappear   so tired of social distancing  I've washed my hands so much  I may can win the pretties hands in America contest.  😛

Just had a phone appointment with my VA allergists.  I haven't had my allergy shots since March and they don't know when the shot clinic and in person appointments will resume.  They are hoping for mid May.

Buck,

I was surprised myself.  I had received the option of attending my physical in person or VVC, and  chose VVC.  But no such option for the blood draw obviously.  So, I went.

I pulled into the clinic and thought they were closed.  No cars in the parking lot.  Went to the door and a person met me at the door in protective garb and took my temp, ask if I had or had not a bunch of stuff.  Let me in.

I was the only patient in the whole place.  They took my blood and ushered me out the door.

LOL,

Hamslice

The bad news is my blood came back and my glucose is 118.  She's going to yell at me again!

Hamslice Thanks for the posting. First I have heard where a veteran physically allowed to  VAMC for an exam/procedure. And, work on that glucose number, man. Do what you gotta do!

I went a couple of weeks ago for two stress tests. Then today, I had a video call with the cardiologist.
