MikeHunt
I'm getting IMs saying they have nothing to do. They even finished my claim. The VA isn't going to downsize, they'll have them do something. My fear is that 'something' will be what's been tried before- Re-hash old claims. So file.
1 Moderator broncovet Posted April 30, 2020 Moderator Share Posted April 30, 2020 The VA is too good at having a 2 hour job take a year to ever be "out of work". They proved that with the "certification" of BVA appeals. It was a half hour job that took 2 years. With inefficiences like that, they will never be out of work. 1 Moderator pacmanx1 Posted April 30, 2020 Moderator Share Posted April 30, 2020 The way that veterans are filing appeals, that is just pure job security for the VA. Even the honest mistakes can take years to resolve. My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions. Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up. I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.

After being in their system for about three weeks, my HLR/CUE is still saying 4 to 5 months for completion. Perhaps idle employees are the ones who do not not pull from the national work queue. 0 HadIt.com Elder GBArmy Posted April 30, 2020 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted April 30, 2020 Checking on status for your claim on Va.gov is pretty much a waste of time. They just aren't going to provide any insight as to what's happening. To improve upon the info available would be, in the VA's point of view, counterproductive. The more insight provided, the more questions that will be asked by the veterans. So, they aren't saying anything. I have one currently in HLR; the very nature of that type of claim should result in a fairly quick decision. I mean, you don't provide anymore new evidence. Just review it! It is possible that some will require an addition C&P because current info is outdated or missing, but not all cases. It's more than likely going to take around 100 days, not 125 for most so they show improvement on their goals, but HLR is definitely one lane that could improve turn around time. 0 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Vync Posted April 30, 2020 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Share Posted April 30, 2020 @GBArmy Yeah, the web site provides a very vague status. You are right about HLRs. I had to submit an HLR because the VA failed to process my CUE correctly (ignored the existing evidence that was described in my CUE motion).
