Question

I am not adversely affected by this outright bold face lie since I am P&T 100% with SMC-S and combined VA rating of 250 and no need to pursue this matter for claim purpose.

Just received a decision VARO letter saying my 30% heart disease (AO) increase claim was continued at 30% due to my failure to report for an EKG at their LHI Sacramento imaging office in June when in fact I did report to that office on the appointment date and at proper time and location.  A BVA remand ordered this EKG. The low life clerk informed me that the EKG technician was out sick and they would reschedule me later in August but never did and they do have my correct address.  Also received no text, email or phone calls. The guy was an unclean punk mx with a smart ass attitude. I do not need any more conflict with VA after 30 years of dealings with the ********* and now their LHI low life contractors.  I recently had excellent results with QTC examiners that netted me 60% for Gerd and 10% for Tinnitus.  Heads up and watch out for LHI.  I will soon file complaints with various politicians and agencies to help other vets.

Well my advice to any veteran that is been to ask to travel hrs for a exam an you live near a VA hospital closer.

Call and ask for the comp and pension department and if it's open.

Make a complaint about the VA not following the rules and ordering outside exam when you live close to a VA hospital.

Call you Congressman an tell them what the VA is doing

Sooner or later they will put a check on the department ordering theses exams

Good luck with that *smh* If they do  schedule someone that just 'calls in' then they are the ones not following policy. Please feel free to report those, too.

Lol we're did I say VA hospital comp and pension would make a appointment

Stop try to confuse veterans again.

I said if the va department that make the contractor exams isn't checking to see if the VA hospital are doing comp exam and order a exam hrs away and you live near a VA hospital.

Call an check and see if they do appointment.

I did and well that VA department didn't do its job. They were sending me hours away.

The VA hospital near me still does exam and I believe most still have the exam department.

Once I complaint they send it to the VA hospital

So if you run into this problem call white house hotline make a complaint the VA has to answer them.

Call your congressman and tell him or her what the VA department that handle contractor exams are doing.

Because the contractor exams system wasn't set up to not do comp exam at the VA hospital.

No More

It was set up for veterans who don't live near a VA hospital.

The private contractor comp exams is for them .

I just post info that work for me

The point is that you think that we (VSRs) can just schedule you at the nearest VAMC.

Just because you call the VAMC and they say they are doing C&Ps doesn't mean they are that day, or for whatever condition, or that the person you talked to on the phone has any clue about scheduling.

We schedule based on what the VAMCs report as their capacity for whatever type of exam.  Thats it. We don't have any control over how the VAMC schedules. WE send the request to schedule it, THEY set the time and date- IF they have the capacity or an examiner to do it.

I don't know how much more clear I can make it for you.

Lady and gentlemen the info is out there.

The excuse has change 5 different time.

First VA don't do exam next they don't have worker to do them.

Next they use a system that tell them if the VA hospital can do the exam.

I don't no why you are trying so hard.

Maybe because the complaints have already started coming in about the department trying to schedule veterans comp exam,2 hr away.

When there is a VA hospital closer

We understand the VA department is first to see if a VA hospital is near the veteran can do the job.

But like I said in my case they didn't do that and after complaint.

They send the record to the VA hospital near me to do the exam.

Take it anyway you want

The main problem with "skipping a c and p exam" is that, we Veterans "are not claim decision makers".  Instead, we have to abide by the decisions made by those who do have the authority to make decisions.

"One" of those decisions is "whether or not" a c and p exam is needed.  We dont get to make that decison..a rating specialist or other decision maker makes said decision.

If we disagree with the decision maker, yes, we can appeal.  But do you really want to go through an appeal so you dont have to attend a c and p exam?  I dont.  Its much easier to simply go to the exam, rather than spend hours and hours, weeks and months, in appeals.  Remember, its delaying YOUR claim.

At least part of the long delays is sometimes the Veterans fault.  If we skip an exam, if we fail to provide requested information in a timely manner, then the delays are not the fault of the VA, but the Veteran.

Most of us realize we dont want to do things which will hold up our claim.  Thus, if you dont want delays, go to the c and p exam.

You choose:  Delays or going to a c and p exam.  I choose to go to the exam.
