Vietnam War Hoaxes, Faked Attacks
The following is from Yahoo news today. I thought it might be of interest to the many Vietnam vets who are Hadit members. extract During the war, North Vietnamese intelligence units sometimes succeeded in penetrating US communications systems, and they could monitor American message traffic from within, according to the report "Spartans in Darkness." On several occasions "the communists were able, by communicating on Allied radio nets, to call in Allied artillery or air strikes on American units," it said. "That's something I have never heard before," Steven Aftergood, director of the FAS project on government secrecy, told AFP. But …

Disability Access Qualification:
Sorry I won't be here to read your replies. Headed out to get re-approved by the Local agency that qualifies people as handicapped and have access to the Handicap Transit Bus System here and through out the U.S. since it follows Federal Guidlines for Handicap Access. It's a bummer in the winter, their is about a foot of standing snow and I nearly passed out trying to dig out, took me two days just to dig from my front door to the road so the Access Bus can pick me up for my appointment. Here's to wishing me luck, electric wheel chair and all. Rockhound.

Can A Nsc Condition Be Sc?
Firts: I am SC for a Nasal Fracture, rated at present 0% Secondly: I also have a NSC disorder called Nocternal Hypoxia, which basically means, that when I sleep and reach Rem sleep, my oxygen saturation levels drop below normal and to a level that is dangerous. I could just fall asleep and never wake up. I receive 2 liters of supplamental oxygen by way of a nasal canula to treat this condition when I sleep. Thirdly: I use a nasal spray, which is a corticosteroid, at its highest recommended dosage, in order to keep my nasal passages dry and open. Due in part, that any amount of swelling from allergies or any other causes, will cause a complete bloc…

Backlog Overflow?
Called this morning for the status of my remand and was told that all the info needed to process my remanded appeal has been there since Oct 2007 and my file was in a backlog overflow room waiting to be put on a raters desk to be processed which would probably be another six to eight weeks. This is the second or third time I've heard of this overflow room. Anyone else know or heard of this place? What happens, when a rater decides their ready to work a claim they just reach in and grab a file? With a name like "overflow" it doesn't sound like much organization to it. But after waiting eight years I guess I can wait six weeks longer unless this is another "tell him s…

Sad News On Clark Evans
"Clark Evans helped us try & get benefits for the Colonel before he died. I was also 3rd legal party for several Veterans (including Don @ hadit) & Clark got each of them their benefits except for Don who died while we were in process. Well, Clark has been absent from the scene for several years now suffering from cancer, unable to work. He is a Marine. He has now been given a month to live as the Cancer has spread throughout his body. He is very depressed & is not answering phone or emails. If you are so inclined... I know it would help this Marine to hear from you the Thanks for helping Veterans... I plan to send a card/note today... Clark…

ptsd Interesting Reading
VA Disability Rating Criteria: A former 30 year employee of the Veterans Administration wrote the following after his retirement. He is also a disabled vet. It addresses the lack of knowledge many applicants have about what is involved in processing their disability claims. His statements are not to be interpreted in any way as being officially sanctioned by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The information is meant for general understanding only. There are always exceptions and the law is subject to change. We hope this helps alleviate some of the anger and frustration many experience due to the seemingly endless delay in processing their claim. When a veteran…
