ptsd Filed For Ptsd/mst
HELLO, I am NEW here .... I am a Desert Storm Veteran. I filed for PTSD/MST in March of 2006. I am STILL waiting for a C&P exam. I am currently at 40% SC for other issues. I have written two Senators and the Govenor of Colorado to get some further assistance. The VARO in Lakewood keeps telling me they have none of the documentation required to make that appointment. I delivered a copy of everything myself, they should have it. I reported the rapes to CID ~ this should go to the DA in Denver and to trial in 6-8 months according to the investigators. I hope this wasnt TOO MUCH INFORMATION. I can use all the help I can get. Thanks for "reading". …

tdiu Tdiu Claim Proof - Hadit.com Members
Hello All, I am confused about my claim for TDIU. Does my claim meet the criteria for TDIU? (service connected disabilities listed below) Does the 70% major depressive disorder, my VA treatment records and about 2 years of work out of 10 years prove my inability to secure a gainful occupation? Can I use this same evidence to get social security? I have read so much about both subjects but my anxiety just goes up and I lose focus. Does anyone have advice? Can I reach my service officer by email? would this be considered too intrusive? I hate the phone ringing (jump out of my skin) and driving down there seems very difficult if not insurmountable. I am ta…

How Much Weight Does Medication Play In Decision
Question: How much weight in the claims decision process does medication for a specific disease and/or disorder play? I was given both Serentil and then Mellaril for an acute schizophrenic episode during a three month hospital stay on a psychiatric ward in the Navy, in 1973. Both are use to treat specifically for schizophrenia, but now are only recommended when at least two other types of medication are tried, because of bad side effects on the heart beat. I am now taking Quetiapine Fumarate, which is also used to treat schizophrenia. Basically it is to keep the bezare thoughts and ideals that I get from time to time. None of these meds are exactly a drug that…

Duty To Assist Development
I was reading over my rating decision letter, which is dated April 17, 2001. Several of the items I put in claims for service connection were deferred. Under the 'analysis' heading for each deferred item, it says The issue of compensation for left foot pain is deferred for the following information: duty to assist development." What does that mean, 'duty to assist development'. The claim is clearly beyond a year old. Does this leave the door open for me to submit new information and, if rated, be backdated to the date of my initial claim? I'm really not clear on what they mean by duty to assist development. I do know some new regs came into effect back then concern…
