" Appears "in For C&p For Berta
Berta, I have read the guidelines for IMO , what about C&P in your many books. I don't think that my question is asking about nexus. Don't think, just a regulation. Where does the word " APPEARS" come in to play with the conclusion of a C&P? From the BVA remand: In contrast to Dr. P.'s opinion, and that of a VA psychologist in an October 2004 report. A board of two VA staff psychiatrists found that the veteran's symptoms were primarily consistent with a personality disorder and that it did not appear she developed a chronic psychiatric disability while on active duty. The veteran subsequently submitted additional evidence in support of her cl…

Cnn Snubs Veteran’s Issues During Youtube Presidential Debate
fwd from: Gene OFFE press release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 1, 2007 CNN Snubs Veteran’s Issues During YouTube Presidential Debate If you are a veteran, or the family member of a veteran, or you are currently serving on active duty, you were probably very disappointed and even embarrassed by the content of Wednesday night’s televised debate. The CNN regulated YouTube video questions ranged from tax cuts, to illegal aliens, to gays in the military, to the New York Yankees and Red Socks baseball teams. Apparently, the news crew at CNN felt these were the most important issues of the 2008 Presidential Election. Some of the…

The National Academy of Sciences announced recently, after an extensive review of studies and medical literature published since 2004, hypertension satisfied the "limited or suggestive evidence of an association" for those exposed to herbicides while servind in Vietnam. In addition, AL amyloidosis, a rare condition, was also found to have a limited or suggestive association to exposure to herbicides. Previously, the VA has accepted the NAS determination of limited or suggestive evidence of an association to h…

Informaational Picket At The Varo
I talked to the local VVA guys about doing an informational picket at our local VARO. They are afraid the VA will retaliate against those of us getting a disability, and they are afraid it might offend some of the members. I told them I was getting 100% and I was ready to go. They just don't get it. At first they told me their membership is very well pleased with the VA. Then they read the newspaper about the Blue Water AO vets and changed their minds. They just want to ride their bikes and whistle in their beards. We are definitely the forgotten generation. It is sad because it was a vivid time to be alive. The WWII generation is the Greatest Generation and what are we? …

Help On Timeframe
Last year I received a notice from the VA on Aug 14, 2006 that said I filed a notice of disagreement with the BVA. It said I had 60 days to file the appeal but I didn't get it til that time had passed and I really had a lot of health issues, like memory loss and what not. It also said I had a year to submit additional evidence in support of my claim. I did submit some evidence and I barely got it in but I got it in on Aug 14, 2007 and that is what they are now saying is when my claim starts. I just received a notice that my claim expired 3 years ago and it is now valid as of Aug 14, 2007 and not when I started it in 2003. I am not well. I have thyroid troubl…

Media Attention
Media attention seems to be getting results. Maybe we should compile a list of news agencies that are receptive to publicizing VA problems. Then vets could contact these agencies about their issues with the VA. This idea was inspired by williamn's success with the St. Pete Times Media helps Vet Paul

Diagnosed With A Disease – Do I Have A Nexus?
Diagnosed with a disease – do I have a Nexus? Ok, let me try to summarize this as painless as possible for me and for you all. The VA has diagnosed me with Hypothyroidism. Basically, it means your thyroid is not working or working to slow for some reason which can be from a automunnine deficiency, the pituitary gland in your brain or to some extent stress from what I have read.. For those that don’t know what the thyroid glands purpose is (I didn’t know) it controls and regulates your metabolism. The thyroid is a gland in the general areas of your neck / throat. It has a key function of controlling your metabolism. The good new about this is that people usually…
