hypertension Is Any Disability Sc Automatic Rating?
I was recently diagnosed at KC MO VA hospital for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD) and a subsequent sleep study for sleep apnea (sp). I was provided inhalers that I use four times a day. I have been out of the Army less than a year. I still have a claim pending for MI, hypertension, neuropathy, ED, and increase in PTSD. If sleep apnea is diagnosed as being what they suspect and I am provided a sleeping/breathing device do I still file for a claim for increase in disability? Also, should I wait until my outstanding claim is adjudicated before I file a new one? Prior to entering active duty last period as a volunteer I was diagnosed with Gerd and skin …

Travel Board
My husband has a travel board hearing coming up in a couple weeks is there anything really important we should be aware of? Something that afterwards we wont be like "boy I wish I would have known that before". We have been at this for 4 years and we are really ready for it to be over. Our biggest problem is the MRIS of his knee shows very little wrong with it, but there is definitely something more wrong beside a little chondromalacia patella (10%). What is the best way to discredit an MRI? I dont know that discredit is exactly the right word, but it just cant be correct with the problems he has with his knee.

ptsd Vietnam Vets & High White Blood Cell Count
I just received a telephone call from my brother. He was a vietnam vet in I think around 1968 and 1969. We don't talk too often, but he hasn't been feeling well lately. He went to the doctor and he has a high white cell count. The doctors don't know why. I know many Vietnam vets have illnesses that have this as the main sign something is wrong.Does anyone have information on what illnesses they should be checking him for related to AO exposure. He did say he has been diagnosed with enlarged prostrate. He is not SC'd as 5 or 6 years ago he was denied for 40% hearing loss (he was on tanks) and for PTSD. Can he reopen his claim or does he have to start over again? …

Meb: Is It Waivable?
Please help! I Cannot get a definitive answer on whether I can waive going to the MEB. I have 22 years in the Army and all I want to do is retire. I've been to an initial MMRB and was given six month's probation. This does not make sense to me because, unless I can get my spine replaced, I'm not going to be deployable. I've been told the entire MEB process could take over a year and possibly up to two. I just want to retire! Any ideas anyone? I'd appreciate any bones you can throw my way. Thanks, Mutt

Dugway Proving Grounds--cadmium Sulfide
A DIC award : "The veteran's service personnel records and research conducted by the RO reveal that he served at the Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah. While the veteran was stationed at Dugway various nerve agents, including toxic cadmium sulfide, were tested. Cadmium sulfide was a known human carcinogen, which had an effect on the lungs with repeated or prolonged exposure." "The undisputed evidence is that the veteran was exposed to at least one test involving toxic cadmium sulfide. The element of an in-service injury is thus satisfied. It is also undisputed that cadmium sulfide was a known human carcinogen. There were no other reported ris…
